That already happened with the PS2, and the PS1, and the SNES/Genesis, and the NES, and the Atari 2600, and pretty much all the handheld systems. Shovelware isn't growing because of the Wii. It was just thrown up front to the Wii by developers with their pants down.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
