Wii- It's the most profitable console, and Disney will most likely demand it goes there. The only way it goes to the PS3 is if Sony buys exclusivity.

 Of course they won't do that on the ps3, unless they are on some type of drug. 

What I can't figure out is how people think these so-called casuals look at a game and just "know" that its casual or not. Aside from the fact that Euphoria was soundly rebutted at every turn on the "non-casual games don't sell" line, it sort of ignores the fact that "casuals" don't really read reviews they just buy games based on what they can discern in store.

The irony of this is that for over a year we've had the "Wii is for casuals, Kiddies, and grandmas!" line. Which of course would be the ideal demographic to target for Disney since it is exactly the same people their DVDs target. But now that PS3 fans might lose a game they really want to that demographic that argument is nowhere to be found...interesting huh? The truth is that this is only a part of the Wii's user base.

Lets just sum up this thread really quickly:

Argument for the Wii:

1) On a global basis the Wii accounts for 70.84% of potential KH customers with the PS3 only accounting for 29.16%
2) Much stronger Disney brand recognition among Wii owners
3)  Brand synergy between Nintendo & Disney
4) Lower development costs and time.
5) Point #1 is getting better for the Wii: Current Hardware Sales, for instance in Japan where the Wii has been outselling the PS3 by around 3.5:1 over the past 4 months and in NA where its been outselling it almost 2:1 in the same time period despite shortages.


Argument for the PS3

1) KH sold well on the PS2....last generation.
2) Some PS3 fans don't like the Wii software
3) Wii can't sell "non-casual" titles (which as I said above was brutally rebutted until Euph stopped responding to those making sound arguments against him like myself and Kaz).


Please feel free to let me know if I missed some arguments, because right now this seems fairly one sided.

Strange to see a KH3 where to go thread without Leo-J.

You know, SFII sold best on the SNES.  Where did most other SF titles go after that?   Super Castlevania IV sodl quite well on SNES, where did SotN go instead?   Tehre are many example of a series doing well on oen console only to be uplifted and and started on another.  Resident Evil sold great on PS and moved to GC.

You have to look at the type of game, the install base, etc...and from what I've gather (personal opinion here) I don't think the curent PS3 install base is the same support base that sold the KH series on PS2.

Probally on wii since KH is massive in the world and the only console doing well in all those regions is the Wii, 360 horrible still in Japan, poor now in EU, PS3 okay in Japan and better in EU but behind in US barely.
