I've always thought that Bioshock would work better as either a movie or a TV series instead of a short game with no difficulty and disappointingly flat gameplay. And a good/decent video game movie, albeit a rare occurence, isn't exactly unheard of. So yeah, IMO this could work - even if Mr. Verbinski isn't the best director on the planet, he's not the worst, either.

OP: I think Guillermo Del Torro, who directed Pan's Labarynth (sp?) & Hell Boy would make
a perfect fit for this movie. His movies are dark and artistic--i love them!

This is awesome news. The atmosphere in Bioshock is perfect for the big screen. Plus it has an intelligent story that could turn into an interesting plot in a movie.
