I do believe it has outsold the 360 in Europe, some of the Others countries (Korea is a prime example if Fishy's recent thread holds up) are more fond of 360 than Europe. Eu/Others are two major regions, Europe and a large portion of Asia and possibly South Africa (?).

Point is that VGC has PS3 at just over 5 million just like SCEE says so if we are to accept the Others number for PS3, we must accept the Others number for X360 which is over 6 million.

We can remove Australia and Other territories and still have X360 leading.

However, I'm going to assume Sony means shipped and we know where that debate leads.

 You made that mistake not long ago when presenting data...... Here I'm just posting what David Reeves has said, and honestly, if Sony has sold more PS3 to retailers in Europe than Micrsoft has sold X360s, do you really expect that Microsoft will have a huge lead in the #s sold to consumers?

VGCHARTZ has the PS3 at about 300K behind the 360 in Europe. David Reeves is obviously talking about sold to retail. It is fair to say there are about 300K PS3's at retail but not sold to customer. I would say ioi is pretty much spot on.

and lets wait until next week when sony release more numbers

 

vgchartz numbers show PS3 only 0.3 million below 360 in europe. So if PS3 is 0.3 million undertracked numbers are very good adjusted considering the lack of euro info!
