How is a game suppose to teach kids how to kill.If that game is not suppose to be played by kids is suppose to be played by adults then if the kids played it I would be the parents fault not the game.

Give everyone a gun (those who aren't mentally impaired, have criminal backgrounds, etc.) and teach them the importance of saftey and the deadly consequences of the gun. This will stop people from risking being shot by the person they are robbing. I would say that if you lived in America that you should put in your front yard a sign that says "Gun Free Zone Inside" and see if you get robbed, attacked, raped, etc. by the people who would not do that if there were a gun in the house. Yes people can do evil things but the chance of death will usually outweigh the benefits of a theft. There was a town in Florida that gave every head of house a gun and training and the gun crime is so low there that guns are a problem. |
I don't believe in banning guns, but you cannot prevent risk of being shot simply by armind everyone. One would have to have a gun in one hadn at all times to get even near that close to a lack of risk. Any smart robber would just go for people with no free hands. If you went for your gun, the robber would shoot first.
I believe in the three R's with guns: Responsibility*, Respect**, and Reason***.
* I do know you want people to be more responsible with guns, so we agree there.
** Based on this line from The Rock. "The second you don't respect this, it kills you." Of course that was nerve gas, but I know damn well that a gun is not a toy, and giving them away to everyone would be dangerous, unless we could teach that respect to all the people with guns, which may not be as easy as it sounds.
*** The thing is that getting involved in a situation where you may need a gun is rarer than you think. Not that you would never need it, but this isn't the wild west, where you were at such a risk.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

90% of Europe, the UN climate panel, a slew of scientists and weather experts and geologists disagree. I'm not surprised that North Americans see it as a myth though, same with China and India (ironically much of the research has been done by Indian personel). Here in Norway, the 7 warmest years in 200 years have been measure since 1998 and the aggricultural parts of out land is screwed up due to unexpected and unfamiliar temperatures and weather, the very seasons themselves don't function properly anymore here. Grossly off topic perhaps, but there is no more science to support the claim that global warming is a myth than there is support that it is not. Which is why I treat the subject with respect. I can only go by my personal experience, and in my personal experience Norway is not the same as it was even 15-20 years back when I was a little boy playing in the snow (that we no longer have while areas that have not seen siginficant snowfall, Kristiansand and Oslo for instance, have been literally snowed down the last 3 years). |
Indeed, there is plenty of scientific evidence for globing warming. The most unfotunuate thing about the topic is that it has become a political issue. Most knowledgable people know it is a problem, but if you say that you are just being political...
