I own a 360 but most likely will not play this game. I probably would have had they added split screen co-op (yes I am aware you can play online), but since they omitted this, it killed any desire I had to play it.

ill probably play a friends copy, but I'm not really bothered about it to be honest.

It will be interesting to see how sales of this one compare to the others as in the past they have been on a console with by far the largest userbase.

I played GTA, London, GTA2, GTA3, Vice City, San Andreas, and GTA Advance.

I might play GTA4 some day if a friend buys it. Might not. I really have no idea. When the PS2 games came out, I didn't have a console and was playing nothing but StarCraft, so I played them on friends' systems, but now I might not get around to GTA4 'cuz I have so many Wii and DS games keeping me busy this time around.

I really hate it when someone insults a mass of people because they have a different opinion. GTA4 will be very similar to its predecessors. I can only stand to play those games for about 15 minutes at a time max. That is if I have a few friends around and we are playing the game of who can get the most stars before dying. Since GTA: SA introduced swimming we stopped doing that. The game play quickly bores me, and the story mode is just a tedious chore. Some people really like the gameplay and thats great for them. Others, like myself, just can't stand it. That doesn't make us dumb, it just means we have different tastes.

Despite my best intentions, I'm unlikely to play this. I *tried* to play GTA3 (& Vice City, & San Andreas...) - only to find I really didn't like the game. Couldn't take it "seriously". Ran around for 30min, smashing cars up... and then stopped.

One of my friends gets this tomorrow, will try to visit him in the coming weeks to check it out.

Hey, because someone owns a PS3 that doesn't mean that he / she have to like GTA? So its more dumb to call people dumb for simply not liking this kind of genre of game, that's what's called "having respect for other people's taste". I find these games horrifying, useless, too agressive and simply NO fun. I am more in the Oblivion, Folklore, Ratchet & Clank, White Knight Chronicle type of games... got it?

Its better than ZELDA: Orcana of time, buy the Game and you will love it, trust me I know little girls(9 year olds my firends sisters) that love GTA and they are little girls.

 

Right so you have played GTAIV have you?  Comparing Zelda to GTAIV is like comparing chalk to cheese, doing so just reduces any credibility your post's may have. I will personally be picking up GTAIV tommorrow and will hopefully enjoy it.

 hmmm Onna more into the mind numbingly boring platform/RPG games. Do not knock the shooters/action games unless you try them. roadkillers = +1. GTA games are cult/classic games in US in particular. Playstation is defined by GTA games.

I doubt I'll ever play it, I lost interest in the series when it turned 3-d.

 We have Wiis and Xbox 360 but for some reason in the last 2 years my 15 year old son has totally gone off console games and now will only play PC games as he has a decent PC and actually prefers playing music to gaming now.

He's sold his DS lite, Wii and now his last console Xbox 360 is on Ebay too.

When I pointed out GTA was out soon so he might like to keep his Xbox for a little while longer his reply was, Nah, I wont play it even if I buy it and I can always buy it when it comes out on PC.
