PS3 have better games?? well sure as hell not for me, I dont even own a single game yet and I have had my PS3 for 3 months

The reason is: i'm not a FPS person... I pretty much loath those games i own one FPS and that is Metroid Prime, that i dont loath beacuse of the Wiimote/Nunchuck combo



If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

Yeah PS3 owners are constantly talking about and waiting for more new games while Wii owners are still playing the same old games from last year and have nothing new to talk about Period.

Yeah PS3 owners are constantly talking about and waiting for more new games while Wii owners are still playing the same old games from last year and have nothing new to talk about Period.

That may be because the games the PS3 owners are talking about and waiting for were announced in 2005.

That is probably because the announced games for wii have actually been released, the only reason a company would have to promote/hype up a game for next year is to let their investors know that they have something to look forward to over the horizon in order to fill in for what was supposed to already be released

 

I do agree with your analysis of the OP though ... and the jist of the discussion is actually pointless in itself, since the only conclusion it'll all come to is "we have discovered after days of argument, that people apparently have unique opinions"

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

 

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

 

E3 2010- Tape runs out

What?  Many Wii owners in EU are playing Mario Kart and in America (I am) playing Brawl.  Sure, I play some other games, like from last year or VC games.  Sometimes I play Gamecube games, because there are a few good ones.

I havn't read anyone elses replies so this might of been said already..

Developers put their "A" teams on PS3 games because they thought PS3 domination would of started launch day and they put their "C" and "D" teams on the Wii because they thought it would fail miserably..

Notice that the games you mentioned in the OP are developed by Nintendo themselves? Wii games are not as good as they would of been if they would of been properly backed by third party developers.

That's the point, they've released all their biggest hits and it's still not enough for hardcore gamers. The PS3 games I listed appeal more to the hardcore crowd and most of them have already been released -

Call of Duty 4

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Uncharted

The Orange Box

Devil May Cry 4

Assassin's Creed

Burnout Paradise

Unreal Tournament 3

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue

Gran Theft Auto IV (next week)

Metal Gear Solid 4 (next month)

The last 2 are right around the corner and we know there are many more to come. 

If hardcore gamers are going to buy the Wii, we need proof that it's going to be a worthy investment, Nintendo need to announce some new games and fast. A new Zelda would help.
