Any Reason NoA can't publish this? Nintendo has the golden touch right now...

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

I was actually thinking that. It's made specifically for the Wii anyway.

Instead of just publishing it I think nintendo should make them a second party developer. One thing nintendo needs is another western developer other than retro.

I love fighting games !!! Come on challenge me !

In the worst case scenario, Nintendo themselves will pick this up. However, I think they realize the PR boost they'd get (in the hardcore gamer world) if this game ended up being fantastic, selling well, all while their name is not attached to it at all.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I don't know whether this game will turn out well, but I think its existance causes a couple of interesting things:

  1. If the game maintains this level of graphical quality it will (effectively) kill the argument that the Wii is slightly more powerful than the PS2
  2. The Quantium 3 engine's existance may encourage id and Epic to put some effort into their Doom3/Unreal 2 engines to take greater advantage of the Wii's hardware; at the same time it may also encourage Epic to attempt some form of an Unreal 3 engine port.
  3. In association with projects from other third party developers with a track record of high technical performance (Factor 5) it may force many other third party developers to up their game.

And no, it doesn't have to match the 360 and PS3 (for those who might claim that is the goal), just show this system is more than a PS2.5

Come, now -- this is a game without a publisher made by a small third party. That hardly fits the description given.

I wonder if Sega would actually publish this? Weren't they just talking about how developers shouldn't be pigeonholing the Wii? Now's the time to back up what you say.
