It was bound to happen. However, with the game releasing next month, you'd think at this point they would only be working on bug fixes and other minor tweaks.

CD Projekt RED still plans on releasing Cyberpunk 2077 in September.

That's what concerns me more, Minecraft Dungeons was so close to release and it looks like it's receiving a delay, what will happen to games with months of development left?

I'm concerned for Halo Infinite but if they have to delay it then delay it, employee safety is more important.

*cracks knuckles*

Time to catch up on my backlog!

Between re-buying Wii U games on Switch, and Nintendo's insane 2019, I've been getting buried for a while now.

Way I see it, PS5 being more powerful wouldn't diminish the case for Lockheart's existence. If anything, it would make it potentially more relevant, because a PS5 stronger than the Series X would most assuredly also be at least as - if not more - expensive than it too. Meaning there would by default be a gap in the market for an affordable entry system.

I don't see PS5 being more powerful. Personally, I think Lockheart will be a terrible choice, even in the extremely unlikely even that PS5 is stronger than Series X. You get the worst graphics, and the worst library out of all the systems launching this year.

Lockhart is supposedly to be the same graphics as Series X but is capped at 1080p. Guess we will see but I def see a market for people that don’t care about resolution as much.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

So PS5 specs will be revealed tomorrow. Does anyone here expect MS to officially announce Lockheart this week after PS5 announcement?

So anybody else having issues with X1 achievements not unlocking apparently I'm not the only one having this problem hopefully they fix it soon did some hard restarts and even did a system reset and that didn't fix the problem.

Idk, Lockheart's main appeal is the price, I don't think we'll hear about Lockheart's price until we get Series X's price and we won't get that until we get PS5 price or until it's too late to stop waiting. I don't think revealing a weaker console (without revealing the price) so close to PS5 would be a wise idea, especially if PS5 ends up stronger than Series X, so maybe they'll wait a few weeks first. I do think they'll reveal it without the price but it's probably better to wait for PS5's hype to die down a bit first.

The reason why both MS and Sony are started next gen talk this week is GDC. Devs need to know what to expect from next gen. So, if Lockheart launches this year, they need to know that it exists and need to know the specs. And as I said earlier, I don't see Lockheart coming to market more than two-three months later than Series X. Because all Series X games should be developed with Lockheart SKU in mind from the start. Scaling games to lower end SKU is really hard. This just don't work well and we'll probably see some Series X not being able to launch on Lockheart.

Maybe XBL is down once again? I really hope MS unties achievement unlocking from XBL connection next gen. It's so wrong in every way to rely on internet connection for achievements.

XBL is working fine its just achievements aren't unlocking properly for over twelve hours already.

If PS5 winds up being the same price and power as Series X, I agree. I forgot it was a 1080p/60FPS machine. A 10 TF PS5 at $400 would dominate it in sales pretty much everywhere but the USA though. Especially if the 10 TF PS5 had an option to just go down to 1080 or even 1440 at 60 fps. For $100 more, you'd get a much better library, and a small resolution bump.

Then again, I could see a lot of people getting a Lockheart + Gamepass. Would be a good combo.

I don' think MS really needs to bother informing devs anytime soon on the exact nature of Lockheart/Series S. Devs already know they gotta scale their games down to the Xbox One family for the foreseeable future. Scaling down to a system that sits somewhere between the One family, and the Series X should presumably be a laughably simple afterthought.

It would happen regardless of PS5 power and price. The damage has been done this gen. It would take at least one gen more for MS to get back in the game I think.

Devs are not forced to do Xbox One version of games though. Some devs can drop it as soon as Series X hits the shelves if they want to. But they need to support Lockheart/Series S day one. That's gonna be mandatory because Series S is the same console family as Series X.
