Oh shit, just found out about curse of the moon, is there a reason to buy that? Doesn't like like they are tied together but the name, yeah?

Only reason to buy Curse of the Moon is if you like NES era Castlevania games.

Ah well, the closet I've gotten to Castlevania is modern imitations so I guess not. Thanks.

I like it. The visuals are awkward yet somehow look good (just don't feel consistent and a bit cheap) the story is trash and there have been a few bugs in 1hr 45 mins playtime, one crash and another needing a reset which is a bit worrying but everything else feels really good. Plays a lot like a speeded up, more colourful and diverse version of Deaths Gambit. Audio is great along with VA even though the story I'd perfer a lot less of it, systems seem amazing, combat is fantastic, controls and mapping are genius for a game like this and make it feel fresh. I'm enjoying it much more than other Castlevania/Dark souls imitations and I almost sure the first one of them that I have instantly gotten into with no warming period.

Best game of the year so far, the game is worth the OST alone. If you're a fan of Michiru Yamane (SOTN), you'll feel right at home.

They're very loosely tied together.  Curse of the Moon isn't canon, but it does have 4 characters from Ritual of the Night as playable characters, and is probably a combination of Castlevania 3 and Rondo of Blood in terms of gameplay.

Fun as hell, and great music.

I just started the game and not sure whether or not the number calculator for the stats is bugged when you equip an item...for example, when you start your ATK stat is 1 and the first two weapons you get, a knife and kung fu shoes, both have 'ATK 8', so I figured when you equip one of them your 'ATK 1 stat' would go up to 'ATK 9', however it went up to 'ATK 6', as if the weapon had an 'ATK 5' value and not an 'ATK 8' value....what gives?

Glad you bought it. Havent played my copy yet but it's worth supporting a talented creative whose been slighted, while also sticking it to Konami.

Its really good.Go for it.

For all I care, Ritual of Light isn't out yet, but it sure looks good.
