Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Witcher 3 revealed for the Switch!

Also, NOT convinced this game is real! I know the evidence is significant, but it will take a lot more than that to make me believe! Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence!

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I am looking at the two screens from a phone and I can honestly not see any real difference other than the brightness on the second one is up higher.

Here's where it's from, there's a side by side comparison in full res:

After watching the comparison on digital foundry, graphics took a huge hit on the switch. Lets hope the frame rate is good but i have a feeling it will be all over the place. It will be $60 on the switch which is too expensive when you can get the complete edition for 15 euro on psn. I bought the complete edition for $20 over a year ago

People who alrealdy possess another system and the time to sit at home and play through the game aren't their target market. Not sure why this isn't widely understood by now.

Yeah ps4 image I uploaded was ripped from a youtube video as Digital Foundry hadn't made article yet so that was best comparison footage I could quickly find, better quality image for PS4 really emphasises the differences.

I'll buy it when it comes out. I hope it's in December, because i'm gonna be busy with all the other games coming out this year.

Leaks said September.

I know, but considering we didn't get an exact release date or even a month in the direct with tons of other titles being dated for September and we're 3 months from September currently, I highly doubt it will be releasing that early at this point.

It won't be the prettiest game on Switch, just as, say, the COD ports on Wii weren't that system's prettiest games.

COD games on Wii weren't even the same game, that's different. We're talking about Doom, Wolfenstein, Mortal Kombat, Hellblade and Warframe level of changes (and even Mortal Kombat would look way better without the 60fps but it's a great game in 60fps)

I've posted this in another thread:

This is done offline on screenshots with Topaz Simplify (not by me)...i don't think Switch would be able to pull exactly this, but it gives a general idea what something like BotW+ type of visuals with TW3 art style would look like....simplified, yet very distinct art style and crisp visuals.

But that would be more expensive to make...and since potential customers are not complaining, publishers are more than happy with better ROI.
