Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Hah, americans sweeping in to deliver the by far worst performance of the night was delightful to see. Deserved 0 points for our entry, but very weird to see it receive >30points from juries.

I voted for Italy and Australia.

I really wonder when the people in germany take responsibility for our consistent bad performance in the ESC.

Also lol at the crowd in Tel Aviv, They got super triggered when the Icelanders showed the palestinian flag.

Who was your entry? I didn't bother to watch the show because the German commentator usually sounds like he is on suicide watch during Eurovision. If it hadn't been for last year, he'd probably be dead already.

I like the german commentator, he's super unemotional but at times ironic.

Yea, I've stopped watching his commentary of the event like a decade ago, it's insufferable.

Apparantly during that new Madonna song they also briefly showed a palestinian flag, but I doubt anyone was paying attention at that point, as everyone was too shocked how much of an autotuned car wreck that new song was .. even "like a prayer" before that sounded like bad karaoke.

Feels bittersweet to me. On one hand I'm very happy that the Netherlands won rather than something like Italy (which I found absolutely terrible). On the other hand, Norway had an absolutely amazing performance, and they got a deserved first place from the public. However, for some reason the jury didn't like it at all and only gave it 40 points, which is why it got 5th in the end.

Some observations:

- Netherlands did win but wasn't as much of a favourite as people thought. He neither won the jury not the televote.
- Germany getting 0 points from the public was the least surprising thing of the evening.
- The jury's obsession with North Macedonia was weird. It was just a generic, boring balad.
- The guys from Iceland are absolute legends.
- The jury from Belarus are absolute legends as well.
- Greece/Cyprus friendship is getting ridiculous. Deserved booing.
- Spain got a lot less points than I expected, both from jury and tele.
- All of Scandinavia did really well this year. Except for Darude.
- San Marino actually made it to the top 10 of the tele!!

Want it to be even a bit more bittersweet ? Jury ratings are based on final rehearsal performances and from what I heard Norway had technical difficulties during theirs and weren't allowed to redo it.

Personally I thought the song sounded a bit too similar to Finland's entry from last year. That said Cyprus really went two steps further and pretty much re-entered Fuego with different lyrics this year.
