Forums - Gaming Discussion - Rayman Legends has collectively sold 4.4 million copies retail

Console ports of Oddmar would be nice... that game gives me the Rayman vibes.

One of the best mobile games, love it on my iPad.

i just rebought Legends on the Switch and i fell in love with this game all over again. i really hope that after Beyond Good and Evil 2 and his other project, we can get another Rayman game

I would love to see a new 3D Rayman game for the next generation!  But he has to finish Beyond Good & Evil 2 and WiLD first (the latter is most likely vaporware by now).

He did specify that he wanted to make a "fourth adventure" for Rayman an entire year ago!

Since the 2D games don't use numbers, and since there's only been two Rayman games since the 2D reboot, it seems that it's implying a fourth 3D game.

If it as the asymmetric gameplay on multi switch local coop, with murphy controlled by touchscreen, id get it again on switch, or even 2.
Murphy stages on wii U was the best couch coop experience I remember.

With how well remasters of old platformers are doing nowadays, I wouldn't be surprised if they do a remaster of the 3D Raymans in the future.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

It's a shame Ubisoft is doing next to bugger all for the IP. Seeing them doing that Epic deal recently though, has me entirely put off wanting to purchase anything from them in the future.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Although I did mess around a little bit with Rayman on the PS1, and Rayman 2 on the N64, Rayman Origins ( Vita version ) was the first time I put the gas to the floor and sunk in a decent amount of time into a Rayman game. Really liked it, and thought it was superior to the original 2 games in the series. I did end up quitting because I got stuck on a particular stage, and I don't have the patience replay entire levels like I used to. As for Legends, I own it as well, but have never tried it. My understanding is that much of the content in the 2 games is similar, if not identical. Definitely down for more.

The game features more than 120 levels, and only 40 of them are remastered from Origins. Origins itself had 66 levels. So that's around 80 new levels, more than enough to be considered it's own game, especially when the prior title had less.  Not only that, but the Origins levels are slightly re-tweaked, and in the interactive menu they're featured as their own "world" to go to. They're more like bonus unlockables so that you don't have to purchase the original game.

About 40 levels from Origins will make a reappearance in Legends as part of an unlockable "Back to Origins" chapter. According to series creator Michel Ancel, the team wanted to include this bonus because "Rayman Origins doesn't exist on Wii U." He told us "it's a way for those players to play the game in HD. And because it was already done, we gave them away for free."

Although originally designed with the Wii U audience in mind, the bonus content is available on every platform Legends will release on: PS3, Xbox 360, and Vita.

The selection will comprise of "the best levels" of Origins, and each level will be "remastered" with new features. The classic stages will incorporate the new lighting engine of Legends, and will also integrate touch-specific features for Murfy on Wii U and Vita. The levels have also been modified "to make sure that players who already knew these levels would still be entertained when playing them."

I seeee! Thanks for the info drop. Legends is enormous by comparison, and I thought Origins was a pretty good size as it was.

- Once again you have quoted me before I did a very quick edit. :)
