That sounds horrible dont make zelda the next asscreed T_T

Adding skyward and twilight to the switch is great but other than that they should chill unless they remake the N64 games

In the last 20 years there are about 5 years that a Zelda hasn't released (and only 1 year gaps)

Zelda is practically a yearly ip and been doing it longer than AC.

There are certainly options to make this happen, and some projects they really oughta do. Obviously, that Skyward Sword HD port is one thing. Another thing they OUGHT do to is bring out a compilation featuring the 3DS remakes and Wii U remasters. I’m sure loads of people would love to play OoT and MM 3D on a TV with a new HD sheen for the first time, and I’m sure others are interested in getting Windwaker and TPP on a portable device. Asking for a collection with all three might be a little too much too ask from Nintendo, but releasing them in two-games-per-compilation volumes (with volume 3 featuring Skyward Sword and BotW) would also be pretty cool. I just hope Nintendo doesn’t drip-feed these games in lone, $50-$60 releases, though thats kind of what I expect. The only HD remaster that ought to get a stand-alone release is Skyward Sword, IMO.

Of course, while 2019 may be too early for BotW2, I do hope Nintendo doesn’t take another 5 or 6 years with the next game. They already got great tech in place. No need to COMPLETELY rebuild from the ground up. Fingers crossed for BotW2 by 2020. I’d love some sort of Majora’s Mask-esque spin-off that focused on the rebuilding of Hyrule and made Zelda the playable character, myself.

And, finally: Nintendo should definitely do another single-player 2D Zelda. If they do, I hope it features hand drawn sprites instead of 3D polygons.

Do you understand i am talking about new entries not ports remakes remasters and spinoffs??

If anything im cool with remakes remasters but not spinoffs like hyrule warriors

Someone pointed out something true earlier that I don't think was appreciated.  Since 2000, there's been a Zelda game released in all but four years (2005, 2008, 2010, 2012).  There have actually been more years with multiple Zelda titles than there have been without it and we're currently experiencing a streak of 6 straight years with at least one Zelda release.

So we've been living in a yearly Zelda cycle for a long time now, you just never noticed because the IP has branched off a few times and because there were two separate platforms.  Can't do much about there only being one platform, but the variety is still there.  If we get a remake next year, a 2D game in 2020, and a multiplayer game title in 2021, I suspect we never would have noticed.

Proof is really that none of us noticed they'd already been doing it for half for over half a decade until they pointed it out to us.

It's definitely time for Skyward Sword HD

I have to say, I have no interest in a Skyward Sword remake.  Not because I dislike the game, but because the Joycons are just terribly uncomfortable when not in handheld mode or in their shell.  The Wiimote was built for holding for long periods of time and so you could reach all the buttons without having to adjust your grip.  The Joycons were not and require constant reshifting of your hand to reach all the buttons without being able to use your other hand to hold the controller in place to make it easier.  You don't even realize how much you move your hands around during gameplay on modern controllers to comfortably reach between the buttons and the sticks until you have to scoot the controller up and down with one hand.

I actually was looking forward to playing games with the Joycons freely as I rather enjoyed the the freedom and comfort of detached left and right controllers with the Wii.  But within a few hours the Joycons were either on the Switch or in their shells at all times.  Tried it again one more time playing Okami HD and nope.  Had to abandon the motion controls that the game is almost tailor-made for.

If a Skyward Sword remake comes out, I'm just gonna have to skip it unless they somehow add traditional controls or release a cheapish Wiimote replacement.

Hopefully! Make Switch the ultimate Zelda machine! Give me that CGI port!
