Depends at which point the market will be saturated. Like the craze of the Hero-shooter genre. It's probably getting there sooner than we expect.

Hero shooter genre is actually a pretty odd example though, iirc Team Fortress 2 was already beginning to die when Overwatch released and it was pretty old at that point (like almost 10 years?). The skins and financial gain were keeping TF2 alive mostly which is why the recent ban systems cut out so much of the player population. Overwatch itself had been going through development hell multiple times I think as it kept getting delayed (which I didn't know until years later). Plus I think Overwatch itself was made after they cancelled their Titan project. And Battleborne was a pretty different type of game from Overwatch. Those two games were more coincidence I think, Blizzard simply made a more compelling TF2 that wasn't hard to get into with shitty ass menus and really strange updates. Everything after that though I agree could be summed up as chasing a genre trend.

We even gave the game away for free, and we still aren't coming close to where we want to be. Micro-transactions are the only other way to continue doing what we're doing while earning more, without actually having to do a lot more. We know the players would love way more engaging content, as they've been asking for it since D1 launch, but that would mean much more work, and well, umm no.

Considering all the shady shit they've tried to pull... surprised more people haven't gave up on it.

Heavy DLC titles need to die off. whats the point of shelling out £49.99 only to have your purchase downgraded and if you dont upgrade your left behind. hopefully people dont rush out to buy the next dlc

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

For anyone that's played Destiny 2, has it really improved that much over the first? As while the shooting was enjoyable, everything else was extremely bland (I was expecting more varied gameplay).
