I played some of it. I didn't like how it had a time limit mechanic that forced progression and limited your actions.

It only seems that way, but it doesn't. All the important stuff can be comfortably. I dont know if you know, but if you are outside of Akademia, then time is infinite. You can abuse that.

If I use a guide the whole way maybe but if I did a normal playthrough, I would miss stuff. It's why I have trouble getting into the persona games.

Wait what? I did not know this about him. Details! I mean, I know you made a couple seemingly self-explanatory points but I feel like this is a juicy story I need to know about.

Really? this is old new.

Do you know of Final Fantasy: Spirits Within? It was the most expensive CGI movie of its time. It bombed big time. Squaresoft was out a lot of money and in a pending merger. When Enix found out about financial crisis Squaresoft was in they nearly backed out of the merger. Sony actually purchased stock to help Squaresoft stay afloat.

That wasn't one of those stories that stuck with me, apparently. It also happened quite a while ago. I wasn't nearly as into game stories like that as I am these days. I remember that movie bombing hard but I had no idea that he was responsible for it. I knew Sony had purchased stock in the company because they were having trouble but I also had no idea that it delayed the merger. Damn. He doesn't seem to have done much worth noting since then. Made a new studio, created some decent but forgettable titles and is now apparently making a second studio.

Guess what? You are 100% going to miss stuff. :)

It is impossible to do everything in Type 0 in one playthrough. The do everything requires at least 3. Everything you do carries over into the next playthrough and is marked so that you know you already did it. So just play through the game without pressure.

My gf enjoyed it a lot. She liked the battle system, the characters, the story, the music, and how the game feels in general. It was a fresh take on the entire series while still maintaining lots of tie ins. Sadly, the game is unnecessarily gory and she never used Cinque because she is slow as a snail. And she was dissapointed that this black country wasn't integrated at all.

Haha, I have tried to play Cinque multiple times, but she is practically useless against anything not big or slow. I like her but I get frustrated using her. Black country? You mean Lorica? or  was there supposed to be an actually an actually Black Country?

Yes, Lorica. Casually smashed in the beginning with no purpose to the story and no connection to the entire game. She felt that they shouldn't even include it at all if it serves no purpose. But I guess they had to since they wanted to make a parallel to this chinese myth thingy where the white tiger, the black turtoise, the red phoenix and the blue dragon maintain a steady state. Again, scrapping Lorica entirely felt strange and useless.

You guys might want read the Annals History. Lorica and Milites were on their third war(between nations they have had the most clashes). They had an Ultima Bomb dropped on them by Milites. Lorica and the Ultima Bomb are suppose to be the FF version the Hiroshima Bombing. That's the purpose of Lorica. Not to mention Gilgamesh, The Freaks(enemies) and Ryid are all Loricans. It does serve purpose with current story "Tempus Finis" without going into spoiler detail.

That I got it from gamefly a long time ago and held on to it for months without playing it because I just could not find the motivation to play it.

I heard it was decent though.

My biggest complaint is the towns are really small and basically just copies of eachother. It's a very forgettable game as well, I platted it, but can't remember much about it.

I platinumed it well it is kind of easy to do so, thought it was a very boring game and I forced myself trough it because it released around bloodborne. But i had some interesting elements and with a bigger budget they could have a masterpiece. I prefer World of Final Fantasy also platinumed it and I think it is way better.
