If Belgium win the World Cup before the Netherlands...

France- Belgium ( 3-2)

Croatia- England ( 1-2)

I've just realised that Croatia have only ever lost to France in a World Cup knockout match. In that tournament, they were also i. The same group ans Argentina.

Coincidence? Absolutely.

That would be hilarious. Would be pretty funny if the curse of being destined to only ever be runners up carries over to the Belgians too though!

As a Dutchman this is a deep existential crisis.

I want Belgium to win but I'll be f****d if they win before we do.

I'll stay consistent with my knockout stages prediction even though I think France will win.

France 1-2 Belgium
Croatia 0-1 England

In something non-WC related...

It sounds like Ronaldo moving to Juventus is now official :O
I'm glad that he's moving to a different league and trying something new, I'm just disappointed that it's Juve. A team that's won their league 7 years in a row really doesn't need Ronaldo. Would have much preferred he went to a team like Napoli so that the Italian league was more competitive instead of strengthening the already dominant team.

I thought he wouldn't leave for another 2 or 3 years and even then to the MLS where he'd get a deal reminiscent of Beckham's.

Suppose that could still happen, and he doesn't look ready to join the graveyard of champions. Financially makes sense for Real as well as they look to overhaul their squad. Just hoping Salah's new contract means he's not going anywhere.

For the World Cup, I find both semis to hard to call but hoping for a Belgium win tonight, England (obviously) tomorrow.

Here we go France's being better than Brazil at set plays is having an impact.
