It interesting to see when Animal Crossing will be out, maybe March-April-May period. If you mentioned Metroid for holiday 2019. than you need to mention Fire Emblem also for this holiday, also we will probably have another announcement for this holiday season, maybe onother Wii U port.

As of right now Fire Emblem is still scheduled for this year.

We also might have SMT V next year along with Metroid and Pokemon Gen 8. Animal Crossing would be welcomed too if that's even being worked on atm

We will probably have announced game/s for this year not to mention next one.

Of Course they working on new Animal Crossing game, last main one was released 6 years ago, probably they are near finishing AC for Switch, I would be very surprised if we don't see it next year latest.

5 new Pokemon games basically announced within an hour all for Nintendo Switch. We truly live in the best of times.

Either you're counting 2 versions of the same game as seperate games or you need to take math class. :L

This doesn't mean anything.

It can be the same style of game as Let's go, a handheld game on a console. I don't think we're ever going to get a proper Pokemon RPG.

Nah, there's definitely a reason why they announced the next game before the current one is even out. They're reassuring fans that a real Pokemon game is coming and that Let's Go isn't going to be the series standard.

Now that that is taken care of, what is going to be the big NEW AAA Nintendo game this year? Genuine question.

Smash Bros offcourse and Fire Emblem, maybe we could have onother one. You clearly dont count Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee like AAA game, but probably it will be biggest system seller and best selling game of year for Switch.

The only difference between Let's Go and Mainline games is the catching system, and the level of content. Their is no indication that the 2019 game will be bigger in scope.

Ah, you're just concerned with how ambitious it is. I just care that it's actually good, but what would be a proper Pokemon RPG to you then?

Why tho? You acknowledge that they're two versions of the same game, just a few differences in Pokemon availability while everything else is exactly the same .

I think the lets go Pikachu and Eevee were originally for the 3DS, but at some point the had to port it to the Switch, maybe that's why it looks so similar to sun and moon

Given that it's on a console, and given what we have already seen on the Switch then it would mean a 3D open world, with a huge map, detailed levels, a whole new camera option for the battles, difficulty levels, making the best Pokemon harder to catch, and more. I also think that it's time to have unique Pokemon traits, such as Squirtle that's a bit resistant to Electricity and such.

It just sounded more dramatic that way lol.

I just hope the new core game gets away from all the simple child friendly level designs and stories from Sunmoon. I want heavy concepts, with tricky levels to navigate, and characters that are all unique sounding and looking. In SM you just go against the same team members like the whole time and it's so boring!

That's most likely never going to happen. GameFreak aren't Square Enix, they never have done anything like that. We can hope for them to attempt something a bit more mature, but that's it. An attempt, not a full dive into it.
