There are a ton of rumors that Kathleen Kennedy is on her way out. Not sure if I believe them, but we'll see. Personally, I think they'll hold off on firing her til after Ep9 releases and underperforms.

Spot on. I wish they would just retcon this entire new series and have someone actually come in who understands the complexities of Star Wars, not these corporate sheep that care about catering to news outlets and not ACTUAL moviegoers.

That is my biggest problem, these movies were made for news outlets from IGN to Vox to praise instead of feeling like movies that can just be watched and enjoyed by anyone.

Actually, the rumor about her leaving mentions changes in September.

But "it's not because of her failure, no, she's just tired!"...

Tired of failing.

Star Wars died with The Last Jedi and director Rian "I just killed Snoke for no reason lol" Johnson.

I bet millions of people have already said this, but The Force Awakens was a pretty good movie that at least tried to honor the Star Wars heritage, while The Last Jedi destroyed everything.

The Solo movie flopping so hard in a way I've never witnessed only warms my heart. I hate Disney and the tyranny of SJW-politics.

So as I stated earlier that theaters were about to drop the movie... It happened. 50 theaters dropped it only after 2 weeks. Next week many more will remove it. It's in the end of its run already.

Weekend updates are in. 14.5m. Clear sign of it not even reaching 400m. Total run is going to be about 375 or less at its current rate but this movie keeps falling faster each day

If this gets below $400 million, I expect heads to roll once Episode IV makes its way through theaters.

There's no way it gets 400m now. Theaters are pulling it already. Might not even make 350m. Next week 2 movies are launching which 1 is an automatic hit and the other could do well. It's legs are going to be cut short then so pretty much whatever it makes in the next week is where it will end up. Hell, maybe not even 325m. 100m dollar loss on production budget alone.

The problem is I can no longer say TFA is a good movie because it's ultimate purpose was to be a setup film, and considering TLJ was the absolute worst of Star Wars films, I would say it fails as a film.

TFA's issue as I stated before is that it's a setup film, and considering the events that transpired, you cant say it succeeded when the next film seemingly ignored everything the first one built. Rey was a Mary Sue in TFA, and it's further shown in TLJ along with the fact she has absolutely no reason to be as good as she is. Snoke was the only interesting character from that first film, and he didn't even get a fight scene

I know this is off topic, but I've been on a My Hero Academia high. Imagine the first 3 episodes were the exact same, except when Deku got his power, he no longer was naïve, did everything correct and then some, and basically made All Might look like All Shit, and as such the rest of series followed a god on Earth who did nothing to earn that status. TFA represents those first 3 episodes, but the difference is there were elements that were blatant that got further exaggerated in TLJ (such as Rey being able to fly the Millennium Falcon no prob and beat Ben in a lightsaber battle the first try), whereas in My Hero you experience Deku's basic rock bottom and actually enjoy seeing where he goes from there, EVEN when he directly tells you he will become the greatest hero. I may be new to anime, but when a $500-$700 million box office film is outdone by a few people in Japan, there's some glaring issues.

Solo is sort of a byproduct of this mess. It's a story about a character who had a previous arch and really didn't need the screen time, and as such feels more like a cash grab then adding to the world and lure. Solo didn't need a film, and as such the film itself seems like a waste of time.

So apparently the international estimates projects that Jurassic World 2 will have made more money in 5 days than Solo have done in 2 weeks

Cool. I thought Jurassic World was entertaining, but I didn't really remember much from it tbh. I don't know if I'll watch the sequel, but I'll definitely watch Ant Man & the Wasp and The Incredibles 2.

Weekend estimates are in and Solo made $15.15M, bringing its DBO total to $176.11M. This is 58.6% lower than RO for the same point in time. If this holds Solo will make $220.32. If the FBO percentage holds it will make $390.64M WW.
