Unfortunately, history has shown that international support for the Palestinians rises specifically when they resort to violence against civilians.  International attention and support was first drawn to groups like the PLO when they began hijacking civilian airliners in the 60s.  The Munich Massacre of 1972 again only really increased support for them.  Arafat was invited to address the UN General Assembly at a time when he did nothing but murder civilians.  Support for them grew again during both intifadas (although the support during the first intifada at least makes some sense).  We saw this again during 2014 and the 2015 'knife intifada,' when European leaders were accusing Israel of 'extrajudicial killings' for police shooting people going on stabbing rampages.  With that record, why would they not choose violence?

Sure, they might have gotten positive support from other radicals but the international community in general is against that stuff. All violence is not the same and they crossed certain lines. Because some of them have to have some sense or tired of killing their kids to make war on jews.

You'd be surprised what the international community will support when they deem it convenient.  Europe cut many deals with the PLO allowing them to operate in their nations and plan attacks on civilians without facing arrest in return for any terror attack taking place somewhere else.  The reason other terrorist groups adopted airplane hijacking was because the international community proved it worked by appeasing the PLO whenever it hijacked a civilain plane in the 60s and 70s.

ROFL!  The UN is just about as anti-semitic as it gets!  We know what the outcome of their "investigation" would be before it even started!  Just disband that useless organization.

you know that statement is bs right? the UN is what gave the okay for Israel to be there in the first place.

When was that?  What year is it, now?

This shouldn't be difficult to figure out.

It was more the Brits with the Balfour Declaration. UN just accepted facts on the ground.

You have any source for that? I remember him calling Liz Warren 'Pocahontas' for pretending to be Indian.

It's the same difference. His reference point for Native Americans collectively was Pocahontas. The mere use of that expression in such a context reduces all Native Americans to a single person/stereotype.

its not the same difference at all

Btw, anti-Semitic means you are against people from that region, including Palestinian. I'm not anti-jew. I'm pro-jew. Just anti-zionist. The new nazi's.

I think jewish are freaking awesome. The religion is all about questioning everything including scripture. The torah is basically guidance to be successful in life. There's nothing wrong with being jewish. I read the torah in bed at night. But the people that moved to Israel after WWII are fucked up. They aren't from Israel, They are Turkish/Finnish folks.

It´s antisemitic to dislike a country for what they are doing to other people? Can you logically explain how that adds up? It´s also.... racist to dislike North Korea, bigotted to dislike Saudi Arabia? =)

Didn't you know? If you don't jam your nose all the way down Israel's butthole, you're either deemed Antisemitic.. or a Self-hating Jew.

ok. ok. That was a poor attempt by me of trying to act like an SWJ and labeling everyone I disagree. Clearly I am bad at it. I will leave the arbitrary labeling other people to people who have nothing else better to do with their lives. Fuck ad hominin attacks. Serves no purpose (unless your goal is to show how stupid they are)

No it is not anti-Semitic to inspect and question Israel's reactions to specific events. But you must at least consider the facts.

Hamas acknowledge at least 50 of the people killed were their members. Hamas is a declared enemy of Israel. I honestly cant see how someone cannot see how a nation fighting its enemies is not just.

Does it matter?

Two points of importance here for all the right-wingers who say the UN is against Israel. One, the UN authorized the formation of Israel.

"Oh the UN is against or can't do anything legitimate" -- By that logic that would mean the State of Israel is not legitimate..

Second point, the UN explained that people are getting shot at 700 meters away from the boarder. That's about seven football fields away from the fence.

On May 14, 1948, as the Jews of Palestine declared the establishment of a Jewish state, called Israel, U.S. President Harry Truman granted immediate recognition on behalf of the United States, becoming the first head of state to do so. On May 14, 2018, 70 years later, President Donald Trump will move U.S. Embassy operations to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, where it has been since 1966.

At least 43 Palestinians have been killed and 2,200 wounded by Israeli troops, Palestinian officials say, on the deadliest day of violence since the 2014 Gaza war.

This headline is so wrong in many levels. A clash is a fight between 2 armed forces. Hopefully they are evenly matched. What you have in Palestine is a massacre❗️The Israeli side has snipers and tear gas, the Palestinians have sticks and stones. Not one Israeli soldier or citizen has been killed due to the one sided nature of the massacre going on right now. All this happening on occupied, stolen, land❗️It would be like your neighbour moving your fence boundary to steal your land and when you go, unarmed, to protest about them stealing your land, they shoot you and your family and the other neighbours do NOTHING to help you or the police(US government).
