The former is dangerous and I don't owe shit to the latter, I'm sorry for the latter's plight but the fact remains I don't owe them anything, just as I don't ask for money to rich people or to be more on topic of VGC I don't ask video games companies for money, special treatment or free games. Most people, especially Americans will tell me that both the rich and video games companies don't owe me nothing, I'm not entitled etc... And that's fine but by the same token I don't owe nothing to bums, beggars or panhandlers.
Never. But I'm thankful for that US guy who picked me up when I was stranded in the middle of nowhere with a broken bike.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
I don't drive so i wouldn't be in a position to pick up hitchhikers, but if i did i wouldn't. As for giving people money it depends. If a family-member asked i would at least consider it, but i have never or ever will give money to a strangers. I am not funding someones drug-habit
Don't drive so I can't answer but I'm the "ignore strangers" type unless it's a kid who needs help.
I honestly never saw a hitchhiker. Do people still even do it? Thought it was a movie/T.V thing.

In my country, hitchhiking is considering dangerous and people don´t usually do that.
Understandable... when you live in the country with the highest number of homicides in the world, by a large margin....

Yes to both. Hitch hikers only if i'm in my truck though. Just make them sit in the bed.
