On the topic at hand, I never been on such a scenario, nor never will, given my parents age.And honestly, unless you actively seek them out or you have a family issue, like heritage, in which bring you guys "together", you will likely never meet them.But I am of the opinion that family is made of people that you care about, not that you are bound by blood, so in my view that wouldnt be an issue(of you never meeting them).

Yeah, I have 2 siblings I never met. My dad went off the deep end. He’s about 60yo now and has 2 kids with his 30yo girlfriend and 1 with her sister. The oldest of these three he lost custody of bc he went to jail for a couple months. The youngest I didn’t meet bc I haven’t seen my dad in several years.

Technically... legally. I have step-brothers and sisters from when my dad remarried. No blood ties though. Never met them, have no desire to meet them.

My town (Village up until 10 years ago) is mostly tightly knit, so no siblings/cousins that I've never met.

Yes. I have one half-sister (from my father) who's supossed to be 3-4 years old now. I stopped from going to my dad's house like five years ago, so I haven't met her yet. Maybe someday, but I still don't have the desire. I did manage to meet and spend time with his brother (so another half-brother of mine), who's 10 right now.
