No Microtransactions. They said they might add it when they figure a way to implement it.

Not to be a dick here, but there is no way microtransactions "might" be added. They're coming in "around 3 months". If it somehow doesn't happen, I def owe you a Coke.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I say they are ready to be honest. I think they are not day one just to ride the waves made from battlefront and boost their audience reception.

I was trying to make a point.... I dont actually believe its 90%.
But yeah I think it could be high, more than half are probably playing Sea of Theives via Gamepass imo.

How many of that are actually just people finally given a reason to use that 14day free trail of gamepass? probably alot too.

If I had to guess I’d say it’s around:

50% sales

25% game pass subs paid

25% gamepass free trial

but even if it’s more like

35% sales= 350k copies sold

40% free trial GP

25% paid game pass

thats Still 350k sales for a new ip. And while some are sure to use the game pass free trial it can only be used once. And many are sure to try it for sea of thieves and start subbing because it’s such a awesome service. That’s what I did. Signed up for the free trial with no intention of actually paying anything. But here I am 3 months later an I don’t plan to unsubscribe.

also every single month that goes by makes the ‘but but everyone is probably using the free trial’ argument more pointless. This just released, Then it’s going to be SOD2, then crackdown, than forza horizon 4, then possibly halo, then ori2 with indies, older AAA games like rise of the tomb raider, and older exclusives like quantum break, cuphead, and ori 1 sprinkled in between those big games. Maybe ms will go out and pay for games to come to game pass on day 1. I’m sure the argument will change from “free trial” to “only subbing 1 month”.

Thats more or less what I said.... the 90% nr was just a "exsample" (I wrote so in the following posts).
Id guess it was around half (50%) that where from gamepass too (I wrote that in that post too).
Just like you did. Yet I get a million quotes and a "negative nancy" picture reply.

But you also have to take into account that no mans sky was $40 and done by an indy team of 20 people. This is done by rare and cost $60 and has Microtransactions.

But Sea of thieves has way more content than no man sky at launch like 6x times more content than no mans also many can choose gamepass if their uncertain to buy it at 60. noone is forced to buy it at full price theirs the gamepass thingy

"Its just a endless cycle of storyless fetch quests. My sea of theives experiance so far, makes No Man's Sky feel like Disney Land"

Obviously its not everyone that feels as you do.
Plenty of people feel it lacks content even compaired to No Man's Sky.

6 time zero is still zero. Not saying that sea of thivees has zero content, but saying it has more content than a game with basicly zero is not really saying much. That six times you mentioned is still very little.

So I should pay $10 of a service I dont want to try a game that looks iffy? That does not make a lot of sense.

There are people calling it a pirate themed chat room on resetera.

Looks like my 71 prediction was too high.

This game is no man's sky 2.0: a great nothingburger.

Forbes agree's:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2018/03/21/xbox-ones-sea-of-thieves-is-no-more-than-10-of-a-finished-game/#707cebfc26be

Xbox One's 'Sea Of Thieves' Is No More Than 10% Of A Finished Game

"Sea of Thieves having No Man’s Sky’s strengths and weaknesses were warranted."

"The problem is that Sea of Thieves is not a complete game. It just isn’t. It’s maybe 5 or 10% of one, but given what other open world/co-op games can offer you for $60, it’s just astonishing how little Sea of Thieves offers. The issues? Where to start.

  • All three factions feel the same with nearly identical, radiant fetch quests that have you go to X island to get X thing and return without sinking/dying. Raids are just some waves of skeletons.
  • The islands are almost entirely lifeless. You can see them all in about a day of play, and they almost never house anything interesting other than your quest objective, however pretty they may be.
  • Enemy variety is almost non-existent, skeletons, snakes and an "endgame boss" kraken that has already been turned into a meme by players, as the thing is just tentacles with no actual body lurking under the water. Perhaps a metaphor for the entire game.
  • Progression is almost entirely cosmetic short of a couple new weapons and items. And while you can change your ship’s sails and paint, there are fundamentally still only two kinds of ships in this entire pirate game, which seems crazy.
  • PvP is a poorly thought-through griefing nightmare. Other players almost always attack on sight, derailing your quests or just being flat out annoying. My last three quests in a row, I went to turn in a chest and came back to find that someone had stolen my empty ship for literally no reason other than to be irritating. The last time, someone called me a "c***" on their mic as I tried to swim after my departing ship, and then shot me in the head. Good times. It’s The Division where the entire map is the Dark Zone, and it makes it incredibly hard for players to enjoy what little PvE content there is in peace.

That’s it. I can’t even make more than five bullet points because that’s almost the entire game right there."

'Forbes' hasn't commented.

If Paul Tassi is like a Michael Pachter that doesn't get paid.

Joined a random crew earlier, explored a sunken ship for treasure, killed a shark. Went back to play alone, still have no clue how to complete any of these voyages I start.

Vote on a voyage. Hold RB and it tells you what Island you need to go to with the name of the Island or a picture. Go to your map and mark that Island. Then go to the Island. Go to an outpost and cash in your skull, chest or animals. Level up your 3 companies. When you reach level 5, 10, 15, 20 etc on each company the voyages will get harder.

Did you just fully explained the entire game?

Sorry about that, had to do it.

But, do you guys think god of war took some steam from this game and people are noticing its flaws more? its something I saw in some sites.

Skimming a few of the "reviews in progress" makes it sound like a game where you have no idea what to expect when you log on. You might get lucky and have a great adventure, you might be bored to tears, or you might end up frustrated and angry over griefing.

It sounds like there are a lot of good ideas here, though, as well as some problems that need to be ironed out.

Most importantly for me, it doesn't sound like a very good solo experience.

This is what "games as a service" looks like, I guess. The future is here.

Totes, breh. I mean, they’re practically the same game.
