Nintendo Direct Announced for Thursday March 8th at 5PM EST

Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Direct Announced for Thursday March 8th at 5PM EST

Pretty sweet, I hope we get a lot of third party announcements during this direct. Hopefully Watch Dogs 2 is one of them. I imagine we will get Wolfenstiens 2 date and maybe even another Bethesda announcement. South Park is will probably be there and something else from Ubisoft. For Nintendo, I just hope we see FE and something new.

I would really like some more Bethesda ports. Prey, Evil Eithin, Fallout 4, any of those would be great.

I have to imagine they will port either a new game or playing it safe type of game (I have doubts on prey and evil withing). But I think Fallout 4 is probable, its just can Switch run it at a reasonable rate. The good news is that Fallout 4 was originally in development of PS3/360, canceled due to lack of potential sales. But that means it probably is designed to be able to run on weaker hardware. But I imagine Switch will get some of the games Bethesda announces at E3 this year.

Having Mario Tennis Aces as the highlight game points to this being a low key direct, but I also hope it means they have faith Mario Tennis is a really great game. I swear though if they announce a new 3DS game! Also yes, that Marcus guy was right about this pointless rumor, but is still wrong a lot and lies about it, so I still wont be taking him seriously.

EDIT: Appears he may have just been leeching off this vandalleaks guy who called it first.

Hopefully its not only a CG trailer.Would like to see gameplay too.

We all know what the gameplay will be like. im ok with cg.

If you just mean what genre it'll be then sure, but in terms of mechanics and features we have no idea.

This is the first FE in HD.Outside of the core idea, which is a strategy RPG, we could be getting some significant changes. So no, we dont know.

The description is such a letdown. It sounds like they’re going to talk about only Hyrule Warriors, DK, Mario Tennis and some localizations for 3DS games. I mean, the way they mentioned especifically Mario Tennis (which I love btw) to me means it won’t even have announcements. At least not first party ones. And if that’s the case, we’re going to have to wait until E3 to get something.

This is not good. I’m worried.

It's not going to be a huge Direct. They're probably going to focus on games that are alrady announced. However, it's rather unlikely they're not going to announce anything new at all. I'm expecting a bunch of minor games and 3rd party ports, and maybe a new summer title (Fire Emblem?).

The holiday games will probably be shown at E3.

If you want to read this much into the announcement text, you may as well note that this Direct concerns games launching this year. That's certainly a step up from "games launching this spring" or similar statements.

Additionally, you should consider that this is announced as a Direct and not a Direct Mini, so it would be fair to expect something grander than what we saw in January. Of course, it's always better to keep expectations in check instead of engaging in wild fantasies that can't possibly come true.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

A Biased Review Reloaded / Open Your Eyes / Switch Gamers Club

Just a reminder that Marcus did not get this rumor correct, he just stole this rumor from this guy

thats how most of rumors come, he reposts old rumors as his own. Then he deletes them when he's wrong. Then he picks other things that can't be wrong that they are so obvious.

Honestly i only want details for Yoshi/Octopath/Mario tennis some multi like Hollow Knight and W2 and a big game teased or a better teaser for Metroid Prime 4.

I do expect Fire Emblem, Yoshi, and 3rd party/Indie stuff which would explain covering the whole year, and Fire Emblem could be that grander thing. Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Smash, Pokemon, etc? Nah wont expect those.
