Forums - Gaming Discussion - Ex-COD players, why did you lose interest?

I don't play much cod, but many people I know that do seem to moving over to games like fortnite and pubg now.

CoD Spawn AI: Ok, I'm going to spawn you directly behind that barrel. You'll be safe there.

Me: No I won't! The second that enemy sniper in the bell tower turns his aim three feet from where he is currently looking, he'll have a perfect shot on me! There's a group of two SMG weilders running up the hallway directly behind that barrel. And another player just threw a grenade that is scheduled to land three feet from the barrel about half a second after I spawn there.

CoD Spawn AI: Yes, but you'll be safe at the exact moment that I spawn you in, and that's all I care about. :D

I still buy and play them all, but not the DLC since blops3.

Stopped after MW3. The futuristic environments don't interest me. Since everyone went back to the past, I'd say they don't interest many people anymore. I prefer the modern or historical setting. I would like to jump back in with Treyarch's next game though.

MW2. Not the fault of CoD, rather than of 99% of FPS games: when you can play RPG's or anything else that actually leaves a mark in your brain, there is no reason to play FPS games. If you want action, TPS is always better IMO.

Vanquish is my winner !

Damn straight, one of the real overlooked gems of last generation that one. Pure, unapologetic, over-the-top action.

TPS wise I was also a big fan of Gears of War 1-3. While I tired of COD I still do like FPS games; the Bioshock and Halo games, the Wii Goldeneye remake, and Doom 2016 all score highly with me.

I can't see why they can't just do futuristic one where you time travel back to previous wars with arsenal and tech in hand, appease everyone that way and make something new to boot.

Honestly, I like this idea. COD is pretty absurd already, why not go all the way.

I've never been a big fan of the MP.

But I play all the campaigns.
