Huh? CoD has sold over 275m as of January 2018, since it's launch in 2003. That's an average of around 19m a year. The only pokemon game to sell more then that is red/blue and gold/silver, and pokemon games aren't even released annually.

CoD Average Yearly Sales: ~19m
Pokemon Average Yearly Sales: ~13.6m

Unless another infinity war comes out and kills the franchise, CoD is very likely going to pass pokemon.

Meanwhile GTA is at over 265m currently, and with GTA V selling 85m units and still going strong somehow, with the release of GTA VI it too has a chance of surpassing pokemon.

Like it has been said already, CoD games have been going down sales wise. Meanwhile, Pokemon has the potential to go beyond that. I believe the Switch title will sell better than even Blue and Red. I don't have indicators of it perse, only that a craze like Pokemon Go brings me to that conclusion. I don't know if it can hold it like GTA V and keep selling. However, It is not wise to expect Pokemon to sit like that. Especially not at 13.6m when it does.

Well that's a very different from "Unless no Pokemon games get released ever" xD

Sales for CoD were going down, WW2 has done very well and sits at around 17m currently (vgc for ps4+xbo, steam spy for pc) and will surpass the 19m average.

I don't think that Pokemon on the Switch will sell 30m+ but even if it did, it's not an annual release, so Call of Duty can easily surpass that over two entries. Even releasing a 30m seller every 2 years isn't enough.

For CoD to not pass it, requires both Pokemon sales to increase by 50% from the 3ds, and CoD to decline. Which seems less likely than not.

Well it's tied to what I said > I believe the Switch title will keep selling the same way GTA V will keep selling. The problem however, and why I am somewhat skeptical is that those other titles have the benefit of being multiplats. If Pokemon was released on other platforms, it will dominate without question I believe.

Do you think pokemon switch can sell as good as gen 1 or at least gen 2?

CoD is definitely going to pass Pokemon at some point, because they churn those things out every year like clockwork.

GTA? I have no clue really, because I don't know when GTA VI is coming out. One thing I can say is that when Blizzard released WoW, their release of other games slowed to a crawl. Blizzard transformed from a games company to a 90% WoW company. I wouldn't be surprised if GTA online had a similar effect on Rockstar. We might not see GTA VI for quite a few more years.

Yeah, have a feeling Pokemon Switch is gonna have a say in this

Yes, no, maybe so.

GTA franchise is at 270 million + by now.

Speaking of, I think GTA will do it.
That FIFA number is probably also at least 100 million too low - Wikipedia's source is from 2010.
