I also went to king without losing a single game :P I found it weird... has the matchmaking changed or what? Doesn´t seem to work that well for splatfests anymore or ?
In ranked I find the games/matchmaking pretty much same as before, but I don´t know O_o
Not sure what's weird about that, but the matchmaking has not changed. Your skill of course was the biggest factor, but also a bit of luck that you/your team didn't have disconnects and that you didn't get really weak teammates/really strong opponents. My first 10+ games all included low contribution Charger teammates, though somehow I only lost one of those. But who cares, the superior race proved to be superior! I do hope this wont have a similar effect on Splatoon 3 that the Callie vs. Marie splatfest had though.

Also, hyped for the new weapons coming next week, namely the bubble blowing slosher of course! Kinda a shame it doesn't have Inkjet like the initial datamine said it would, not that Inkstorm isn't still good, but eh it's kinda boring to use imo. I do fear the Bloblobber itself might be inconsistent at splatting in the same way the H-3 is. Can potentially splat in 1 slosh, but that 1 slosh is divided into 4 rather slow moving hitboxes. As for the Nautilus, the main itself sounds like great fun even if it is just stealing the Charger gimmick, but the problem is it's kit. Point Sensor is underwhelming and the Nautilus can't immediately shoot making Baller an awkward choice for it.

Yes, all hail Squids! And about the splatfest, eh, I assume there's still going to be a Pearl vs. Marina for that at some point.

We all know how that's gonna go down, Marina wins popularity but Pearl wins overall. I'll still choose Marina anyway of course!

So I was just lucky :D Its very nice to see new slosher type weapons, I liked explosher and hopefully bloblobber is also fun to use, cant wait to get my hands on it!

I really like splatoons way of giving us free content bit by bit and octo expansion dlc was also handled well. Nintendo is making the right choices with splatoon

Play it again Sam  May 2020 will see a bonus splatfest!

It’s a #Splatoon2 #Splatfest so contentious we have to do it twice! #TeamMayo and #TeamKetchup are back and it’s up to you to determine which sauce is the boss!

Well this begs the question then, why not just continue having splatfest until Splatoon 3? Still this is cool I guess. Going ketchup again of course.

Makes me wonder what kind of manpower it takes to pull off a splatfest.  Yeah I'm going Ketchup again too, even if Mayo won last time.

Mayo for life!

BTW just started playing this game again 3 weeks ago, after hardly playing it at all for more than a year. Still fun as hell.
