Not sure what's weird about that, but the matchmaking has not changed. Your skill of course was the biggest factor, but also a bit of luck that you/your team didn't have disconnects and that you didn't get really weak teammates/really strong opponents. My first 10+ games all included low contribution Charger teammates, though somehow I only lost one of those. But who cares, the superior race proved to be superior! I do hope this wont have a similar effect on Splatoon 3 that the Callie vs. Marie splatfest had though.

Also, hyped for the new weapons coming next week, namely the bubble blowing slosher of course! Kinda a shame it doesn't have Inkjet like the initial datamine said it would, not that Inkstorm isn't still good, but eh it's kinda boring to use imo. I do fear the Bloblobber itself might be inconsistent at splatting in the same way the H-3 is. Can potentially splat in 1 slosh, but that 1 slosh is divided into 4 rather slow moving hitboxes. As for the Nautilus, the main itself sounds like great fun even if it is just stealing the Charger gimmick, but the problem is it's kit. Point Sensor is underwhelming and the Nautilus can't immediately shoot making Baller an awkward choice for it.

So I was just lucky :D Its very nice to see new slosher type weapons, I liked explosher and hopefully bloblobber is also fun to use, cant wait to get my hands on it!

I really like splatoons way of giving us free content bit by bit and octo expansion dlc was also handled well. Nintendo is making the right choices with splatoon
