Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4/XBO/NS - 2017 vs. 2018: Final Results!!!

You're welcome!

Come Dec 31, I think all 3 of them will be down, but it will be close in all 3 cases, so it's going to be hard to tell.

Week 12 Numbers have been added. PS4 and NS are both down this week, while the Xbox One continues to build and build.

Not unexpected from the PS4 and the Switch for me. PS4 had a truly superb first 4 months last year, it was clear it would be a very tough act to follow; while for the Switch, it did really great in it's launch month, just plummeted afterwards due to lack of supplies.

Xbox being up that much however is a bit hard to believe for me.

Could be a combination of Sea of Thieves and PUBG + the Xbox One X legitimately boosting long-term sales, not just short term.

Well, at least we know that Xbox One just had its best January and February ever in the US. Though I think PUBG and X1X along with game pass gave it a good boost to start the year off worldwide.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Yeah, plus the release of Monster Hunter World earlier this year. I just didn't expect the console to be that much up, at this rate 2018 would become the best year for the console by a country mile.

Nice Chart! Thanks for the work. I think XBox and Switch will be up. PS4 slightly down unless there comes the 199 $ prizecut

I think to many are waiting for that ps4 price drop. God of War should spice things up, but until E3 when its finally dropped, I see it tuff. But I still think it will be up yoy.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Did Sony announce anything like that? Or are you just assuming they will drop the price then?
