Forums - General Discussion - Check out the new Firefox Quantum

It's nice, but it ditched my most liked Firefox Feature: Heavy UI Costumization. Addons like Classic Theme Restorer just can't do what they could do in previous versions. I hope they bring that feature back.

I hate it. It killed all my folders in the bookmark section and now everything is chaotic.

Well, at least Firefox uses now a GPU renderer for Youtube videos just like Microsoft Edge. So, 8k 60fps videos are now possible without killing the CPU. Oh.. it seems Chrome fixed that too some time ago...

Pretty good, though I think I'll stick with Opera and Brave.

It works well, but I have one big complain: when you open a new tab, the icons of the fav sites are way too small . They should have kept them the same size as before.

Where exactly is this icon of favorite sites?

Let's see how I can expolain it with my English... For starters, it's not an icon, they are several (up to 12) icons or thumbnails that act as shortcuts to access the sites you use the most. They're also present in Opera and *gulps* Internet Explorer.

The thing is that this new Quantum browser has made some changes and now, when you open a new blank tab, you see (and I'm making a rough translation from Spanish to English, so bear with me) a search bar, your favorites or "popular sites", highlights (which looks like your recent internet history) and code fragments (which I don't know what it is). All that take a lot of space and have made the favorites icons a lot smaller than they used to be, probably half as small or more, making them harder to use.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

It's nice, will take some time to get used to the new design but it's not bad in any way

Too my some of my addons aren't working anymore, but hopefully they will be updated to become compatible

Oh, I know what you're referring to now.
Yeah I can see that as well. I clicked the settings icon and removed Highlights and Snippets, but the Top Sites icons still remain the same size.
Hopefully there's a way to make them bigger again in a future update. For now the only option seems to be to have 1 or 2 rows of your top sites.

So it's Top Sites in English. Good to know.

I'm keeping an eye on the subreddit link Zkuq posted earlier, in case someone posts how to fix it.
