Get off your soapbox or get off the site. Frankly, your opinion makes people uncomfortable so please keep it to yourself on this matter. This isnt about what is right or left. This is about supporting Nazis, which we do not encourage whatsoever on this site.

While I doubt leftism or whatever had any effect on the review score, "we don't like your opinion, get out", is exactly the kind of thing extreme leftists - or rightists, such as nazis, would say. Therefore, a moderator on a website saying the same thing to someone criticising the policies in his own country of Sweden (which, for fact, has lots of racial tension, and for good reason, look it up), saying absolutely nothing positive of nazis, makes people feel a lot more uncomfortable than what slimebeast said - even with the shot he took at western elites.

So, in other words, before you order someone to get off their soapbox, get off of yours first.

I disagree with you completely.  If this were a thread about "his own country" then you might have a point but it certainly is not.  I'm not here to read about Sweden.  This is a thread about the Meta score of a videogame, which he is using to spread his political propaganda.  That bothers people a LOT more than his being warned for something he has a history of doing.  He was trying to derail the thread and turn it into politics--which was somewhat of a success.

Anyway, back on topic, this game sounds fun.  I've never played the series but now I feel like I should.  Time to check and see how it performs on PC.

I think you're crazy if you won't even entertain the idea that this game's high scores may have something to do with the political fallout surrounding the game. All of the gameplay footage I've seen (and I've seen quite alot of it) looks like The New Order but with better graphics, and all of the cutscenes seem to be about on par with The New Order when it comes to the writing. So tell me this, how does a game that looks roughly the same as it's predecessor meta 10 points higher?

Could the game actually be worthy of an 89 meta? Sure, I think The New Order was actually underrated by the critics personally, so it's not impossible for it to actually be an 89 worthy game, I will have to see that for myself. But the fact remains that the gaming media is left biased (and don't try to say they aren't, it's quite clear that they are), and that there is political turmoil surrounding this game due to the alt-right seeing it as an attack on them, and that it would be all too easy for gaming journalists to abuse their power in an attempt to counter a possible boycott of the game by the alt-right.

If the alt-right see it as an attack on them, then maybe they should realize that there's going to be a problem if they're considering themselves Nazis. The Wolfenstein games have had Nazis as the enemies since the beginning, this is nothing new.

So pumped for this game. Problem is I want to finish the first two games first ;D

Personally I'm a bit confused as to why they identify with nazis as well. Many of their ideals differ quite alot from the nazis. For instance many alt-righters support isolationism, closing off the borders in order to stop drugs and potential Islamic terrorists from getting into the country, while the nazis were strongly expanionist, they wanted to force their policies on as many other countries as possible.

Honestly I wish that both sides would stop trying to politicize games and just enjoy them. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like that's going to happen anytime soon.

Didn't you just politicize it though? You just brought up the scores and saying that it has to be related to political aspects, then are now saying that you wish people would stop politicizing games?

Overrated review scores thanks to leftist propaganda (the studio is set in my very multucultural and self-hating home town in Sweden so it's no wonder).

It's a shitty time we live in the West. So many in the elite is working for the extinction of white culture and for ethnic whites to end up in minority in their own land, meanwhile glorifying everything foreign regardless if it's positive or negative.

Get off your soapbox or get off the site. Frankly, your opinion makes people uncomfortable so please keep it to yourself on this matter. This isnt about what is right or left. This is about supporting Nazis, which we do not encourage whatsoever on this site.

I was refering to what someone else said, he brought some examples of how the new Wolfenstein clearly was political and SJW. Characters in the game are purposely expressing derogatory sentiments towards "whiteness". They use white "self-hate" and ridicule (and glorifying of other races on the other end to make whites feel even more guilt).

I think I read it in this thread, but I can't find the analysis anymore.

And since I'm a Swede and even live close by to the studio of Machine Games in Uppsala, I know very well the political mentality of these game designers. It's the self-hate and self-deragotary current Swedish mentality that is propagated through this game, which is a mirror of the general current political discourse about multiculturalism, race and immigration.

I am disgusted that propaganda crept into this game. It's so cheap to use nazis to hit a blow against people who are in the political right.

If you're getting offended at Nazis being enemies in a game, you really should question your beliefs.

Only sales will be the one to judge whether their decision to piss off or to appeal on certain side of gamer will be paid off at the end or not.

The game sounds awsome! The nazi-punching will have to wait until next year though when the Switch version is out.

I guess they can live with the fact that people who do identify with Nazis don't buy their game, even if those people are not aware of the fact.

You are aware of the fact that Hitler did exactly that thing...cater to the low self respect, so to speak self hate, the Germans had after they 'lost' WW1?! (Yes, there are huge parallels to how Trump acts these days). The game series clearly always had that in mind. I am proud of the game designers they take that political stance. Too many modern Nazis out there, yes, also in 'very white' Sweden. I am ashamed of everyone who doesn't take a stance tbh.
