Really? Also, look at what they gave all of the other Mario games: Super Mario 64: 39/40 Super Mario Sunshine: 38/40 Super Mario Galaxy: 38/40 Super Mario Galaxy 2: 37/40 Super Mario 3D Land: 38/40 Super Mario 3D World: 38/40 Super Mario Odyssey: 39/40

But they gave New Super Mario Bros. Wii of all things a 40/40? I'm not complaining about how Odyssey got a 39, but my problem with their score system is that it is so inconsistent.

Well, Famitsu scoring system(or the reviewers really) have always been weird and that is a known fact for awhile now.Im personally not going to take them seriously now, and never had, no matter the game gets a good score or not.

Or it is all just a conspiracy.

You need to summon the powers of a mod.

A. Different games, different genres, apples vs oranges, etc.
B. It's Famitsu

SMO getting a 39 its okay. What really blew my mind off was that:

FIFA 18 (Switch) – 10/9/9/9 [37/40]
Cuphead (XBO) – 8/8/8/9 [33/40]

37 for the Switch version of FIFA and 33 for Cuphead?WTF?

Yeah, the reviewers at Famitsu have questionable taste.

However, they are saying that Super Mario Odyssey is at least tied for being the best 3D Mario game. 97+ Metacritic confirmed.

37/40 for FIFA Switch? Wtf?

It's Japan. Their tastes are going to be different than ours.

Anyway this game seems to be in line with the Galaxy games and Super Mario 64. So now we have to reviewers who believe that this game can measure to the peak 3D mario games. At this point 95 on metacritic will be lowballing it.

Now I wait for this game to come out. Painfully of course.

Wow, just wow. Famitsu needs to re-evaluate their staff.
