Haven't gotten any yet, either. I will be getting: Zelda: Link to the Past Super Mario 64 Castlevania IV Kid Icarus and probably some others as I'm not really up on the full release list. I need to hold off spending money for a bit.

To cash in my CC rewards points for $300 in Circuit City gift cards to purchase a 360 or not: That is the question.

1.5 million isn't bad. Certainly got the ball rolling faster than Microsoft did. I assume SM64 and SMB are leading the way, along with maybe Sonic and LoZ. I hope those TG16 and forgotten Genesis titles do okay, so third parties don't get scared away. I haven't bought any yet, but I'm interested in several.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

I've gotten Sonic the Hedgehog, and Bomberman. In all honesty, I feel those are the only things worth buying for the Wii. The Wii games I HAVE bought... make me sad. I had VERY high hopes for the Wii. The PS3 just got v1.50 out. It now has flawless backwards compatiblity. The wii remotes, are still buggy... More enjoying the thought the online Wii service might be good when it comes out. Knowing that when it does, it's something to keep your distance from. But I'm waiting for more Sonics, Final Fantasy, SuperMario 2 and 3. and... really that's all I want. (I know the final fantasy wont come, but it makes me sad that the new FF6 for GBA is tweaked. I wont buy it for that reason. I'd pay 75$ for a true copy of that game. However I dont expect it to ever come. :(

Come on... you must be kidding, right? The world's most acclaimed adventure game (Zelda OoT) and platformer (Mario 64) are coming to VC among many others. I understand that it's your personal opinion, but it still seems very odd. What I'd like to see are Chrono, Demon's Crest, Goldeneye, Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kongs. And there hasn't been a proper "only for" Nintendo Wii game yet at all, so no need to rush into conclusions even if you don't like the innovative side of Wii atm. Zelda TP was a gamecube port so it doesn't count. The situation is pretty much the same with PS3. Btw. in what sense is the Wii remote buggy?

In in Wario Ware, bungee Buddies, some times they jump when you blink and other times they wont jump if you shake the wiimote with all your might. (I'm not stupid I know you cant jump for like 2 seconds after you jump) In Red Steel, The pointer seems to have accuracy problems. Among the sword stuff is REALLY wonky. In NFS, it forces you to use the horrible controll scheme. If you don't believe me RENT it. (do NOT buy it) Due to the fact it forces you to use the... physical side of things, it is probibally the most horrible control scheme I've ever seen. Due to the fact it forces you to use that control scheme... if it would let you use something like... b=gas a=brake z=e-brake c=camera change it would seriously be a 20x better game. of all the games I've played in the last year... that was probibally the worst, not because of the game, but because I could not find enjoyment playing the game. Rayman is fairly good, although mini-games arent my favorite thing. Zelda is great. I want to see more like zelda. games that are fun, traditional, useing the extra features on the wiimote. I have mario64 for my DS. I had very very very high hopes for the Wii. I have owned every nintendo system except the VR one that came out in the early/mid 90's. For a list... NES, SNES, GB, N64, GBA, Cube, GBA:SA, DS, Wii. I like my cube better than my Wii so far on gameplay. My smear agianst the controller is... they can not force you to use the controller in weird un-thought out ways. It makes the console look bad, and games for it look REALLY bad. I've played every PS3 game. Only 1 is worth buying. but the others are not horrible games, they are all fun. Red Steel is HORRIBLE. NFS is HORRIBLE. (it's ok on the PS3 because your not forced to use the control scheme) Wario Ware was my first wario, however, it has made me think twice about nintendo. I paid 50$ for a nintendo brand game, that has about as much content as a private made home game. Zelda is the only game that I really like on the Wii. I want Metriod prime. and Mario... I'm not sure if it's going to be mario64 enough. (I always felt mario64 is the best designed 3d mario so far, just needed yoshi, and a real flying cape, and eating shrooms makes you big. ;) ) the online for the Wii has already failed. (read what nintendo says about it.) my PS3 is in constant use even though I'm usually playing PS2 games on it. my Wii hasnt been turned on since 3 days after wario ware came out. My heart is with the Wii. My money is with the PS3. (also, sony is fixing stuff in their updates IE: PS3 v1.50)

Some of the companies experimented with the first set of games on the wii. And some of those experiments failed. I have Madden, Wii Sports, Super Monkey Ball, Excite Truck, and Zelda and I'd say they are all fun games. Could they have been better sure (more depth, better controls). But for the first round of games I'm happy with what they were able to push out. I don't know what your big gripe with the wii is. Your sig says you don't like more than 3 360 games which has been out for a year, and you only think one PS3 game and one Wii game are worth owning. So what is your love affair with the PS3? It cost $500 more than a PS2 that you could have bought or do own and you can play your PS2 games on that. Wario Ware was doomed to failure because Nintendo wanted it to be an everybody game. Since it was your first time playing one, do yourself a favor and buy one of the GBA ones. Those are a much better game experience in my opinion because the pace is frantic instead of slow. The Wii did exactly what it was supposed to do in its first three months. Gain market share and get developers on board. Judge it by its games this coming Christmas and then if it still has only one AAA game then I'd say its a waste of money. It's not like the wii forces developers to use those controls either. Via the classic controller (Mortal Kombat) or the gamecube controller (Metal Slug) you can still get back to the classic control scheme.

It does on NFS. And I'm planning on buying Metroid. Mario is a question. not enough is known about it. I dont think it's going to be "mario" to me either. (I have played every mario in the order they came out. Mario64 was my favorite minus a few things) Since then... over 10 years ago. nothing has felt mario to me. Mario is dead to me, Mario Galaxy seems more like a mario sunshine-ish thing. I'm not going to judge it yet. I'll still probibally buy it. And Super Smash is already on my must own list. So that puts my Wii collection to about... 6 or 7 games by x-mas. for the PS3, I have Resistance. Gonna get... Sonic, Motorstorm, LAIR, Oblivion(I have it for the PC, but I want to run it on my TV), Killzone, AC4, RE5, GTA5, FFXIII, White Knight, Ratchet... etc... And there's a few of the downloadable games I plan on getting too. flOw, and I'm eyeing the little raceing one, and the astroids type one as well. My point is. I'm looking at at alot of games. (from my book at least) I love games, and almost all types. (I hate war sim games) There are no 3rd party games that intrest me in the Wii. Not yet at least. I had REALLY high hopes for it. In all honesty if I want budget graphics. I'd get a PS2. (I've had one since launch day, waited 8 hours for it in line.) I like my cube just as much.(waited in line for it for 4 hours on launch day) And my X-Box was sold for a PS2 game 2 years back. (I waited in line for it for about 4 hours too) (I waited in line for over 12 hours for my Wii. I did NOT wait for my PS3) I had my money set on the Wii being the fun, cheap alternative. I have yet to read anything from nintendo in refrence to the Wii's ability to work with the DS. (one reason I got the DS, was the fact it was sposed to work with the revolution(now wii)) instead of a PSP. Now dont I feel screwed. if I had a PSP, I could download demos, and all types of junk from my PS3 straight to the PSP. the DS... well... I havent found a working DS download station. Infact, I havent found any games that warrented the DS. I like the GBA games MUCH better than the DS ones. (or the DS ones are the same game) Should have saved that 150$ as I already had 2 GBA SPs. I have not been impressed with a nintendo game sine the Cube launch. Wario Ware aint worth 30$. Zelda is multi-platform. Sony releases very few games I like as well actually. However sony has the 3rd party support so far. and I dont see 3rd party support jumping head-first into the Wii. There are 2 types of gamers now. Those who hate games, and those who love games. The Wii is more about mini-games, and that stuff. (like the hip and hot DS) the PS3 is more about you not haveing to buy a PC. More reasons I'm mad about my Wii. Plug a USB HDD up to it. Plug a USB Thumb drive up to it. Plug a USB Keyboard up to it. Plug a USB mouse up to it. Plug a USB webcam up to it. Plug a USB headset up to it. Use a BlueTooth headset. They all work flawless on the PS3. None of these work on the Wii. I've been wanting a console that takes the best of PCs, and the best of consoles. for a long time. I did NOT expect the PS3 to come though and be able to do everything. (why I waited in line for the Wii for 12 hours and NOT my PS3. I expected the PS3 to be useless for 6 months. I'll wait and buy one then. Zelda = good Wiimote use. RedSteel = BAD wiimote use. Rayman = minigame. Monkeyball = minigame. Warioware = cheap minigame. Any raceing game. you have Digital gas. :: the PS3, has analog gas and steering. actually the PS2 does too... and the X-Box... and the Cube. So the Wii is the worst platform to play raceing games on in almost 6 years. And if you want innavotive AA raceing games (fun not sim) read up on motorstorm. you have to play the demo to beleive how much FUN that thing is. (and I usually only like raceing games for the tuneing aspects. (not decals) I've heard alot about the hospital one. not my type of game, and no-one rents Wii games around here. so I'm at a loss and havent played that one. my point is... the Wii has 1 AA game. it is on the Cube. and then... the PS3 has 1 AA game... it is exclusive. and innovative. (once agian, if you play alot of FPS, it is not your Quake3 railgun fest, and it's not your War sim games where your shot once and your dead.) And in refrence to about the X-Box 360. I just dont like many of the games it has. I like the good ones I've played in the past, and new ones that are diffrent. This summer when 360 drops in price I will buy it mostly for ViVa Pinyata. Whatever the one with zombies in the mall, and 2 or 3 others as they will be bargan bin games when I buy it. The games I like on the X-Box 360, are also on my computer normally. C2D, GeForce 8800GTS, 1GB memory, 250GB HDD. I assure you. I run my computer through my 1080p TV. and the 360 can not match it. meaning the same game looks MUCH better on my computer. I was gonna buy the 360 for oblivion. and then they said PC. and then I said. there goes the 360. (my grudge agianst the 360 is you almost HAVE to have the online service, and that costs money, meaning you almost have to pay to use the 360) And when I can play 75% of the exclusives on my PC... who cares. EDIT:: (also for sales rations... PS3's are sold out all over knoxville)

have you read the news recently? Try googling "EA forms Wii-centric studio" or "Ubisoft Loves Wii" just to name few. Ubisoft has like a kazillion number of Wii games in development right now and EA is doing a lot better than just rushed porting. See Madden or Tiger or SSX blur for example. I'm sure you'll say there's not any games YOU like, but that doesn't mean Wii doesn't have a good 3rd party support. In fact, it's clear by now that Wii will have a lot better support than Gamecube. Here's an incomplete list of exclusive games for Wii: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Wii-only_games I think the amount is somewhere between 2 and 3 times bigger than PS3's exclusive list. And about Xbox 360... you say there's only one game you like on PS3 and that's Resistance. To counter that I need to mention only Gears of War on 360. Now I'm sure again you say that's just a shitty game, but based on critics' response, it's better than Resistance.
