I'm pretty sure the Switch is massively undertracked here in Europe. I mean, more supply is available now, so surely the numbers should go up? Also, going by last weeks' numbers ( 5 Aug.) approximately 20k were sold just in U.K. France and Germany, so the whole of the rest of the continent only adds up to 15k? That's a lot of countries to only sell 15k in! Also, if you apply the same equation to PS4, it goes from roughly 25k in the 3 main countries to around 65k all told, so 40k in the rest of Europe. I don't buy it!

Means that immediate demand has been met in Europe for the Switch ... (they don't really want anymore Switch units than they already have)

Shortages indicate potential sales and businesses would ideally try to match that demand ...

The reason why PS4 peforms much better than the Switch in other European territories is because it's the far more desirable system and that's all there is to it, simple really ...

If it can manage around 6 million by the end of August, I'm pretty sure it can manage another 7 or 8 million with Mario Odyssey around the corner, and the holidays soon after.  Maybe not by January, but probably by March.

It's quite obvious price is holding back the Switch in Europe.

No idea why it its like 420$ USD here in DK.

As others have said, stock doesnt seem to be a issue atm here.

Price is just too high..... right now a new PS4slim is around 300$ USD here.

Thats a massive differnce in price, and it seems like not too many consumers are willing to pay it.

So, you're telling me that the difference in sales betweenthe Switch and the PS4 in the rest of the world is only 8k?

Why is that so unbelievable?

Good Switch sales, but Europe is not feeling the system yet. This could be due to stores not having faith since the Wii U fiasco, many stores here in the Netherlands have put their Switch section in some corner without any promotion, whereas PS4 and Xbox One have lots of space with cardboard cutouts and such.

Same in UK pretty much. Not even Switch demo units where I live and the surrounding towns. I got my first proper look at a Switch in a secondhand shop (CEX). However with stock shortages why bother to push the Switch? There are PS4's and Xbox One's in stock ready to go out the door. So I'm not sure its lack of confidence in Switch or simply no point pushing it yet, at least that is the case in the UK.

Because that's a whole lot of countries where people would usually but a PS4 over a Switch. I guess sales will just have to be adjusted up like they did a few months up.

Sorry but xbox one is doing horribly, it's slowly looking like a dying console. Was so different last gen a shame really

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

Is there a Switch shortage in the UK? Stock trackers say no.
