Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Doom and Wolfenstein II The New Colossus coming to Switch

Are the games 30FPS ?

Around the Network

Probably won't get them, since I refuse to play FPS games without a keyboard and mouse, but this is pretty amazing for Switch.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Nonsense. Absolute nonsense.

I cannot believe we get these games. We even get a new Wolfstein a bit later than the other platforms. My mind is still in state of disbelief. I was not expecting such a thing to happen.

Otherwise good news. Now I am off to check what timeline I am in.

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

It's weird, because right before the event I joked about The Evil Within 2 coming to Switch. Which is the only title missing within Skyrim, Wolfenstein and Doom (I guess as well as Fallout 4, but still). xD

DOOM wow

Totally perfect game for the system, shows hardware capabilities it's hardcore and old-school and immediate.
May be the become the best FPS on a Nintendo system since Timesplitters 3 on Gamecube.
I'd also say it's the best 3rd party announcement since the system was revealed, alongside with Rocket League.

Will already own both on PC. Cool news though.

4 ≈ One

I'll take the Bethesda testing waters over Capcom's any day of the week, getting both games.

This is great news for the Switch. I guessed that if Bethesda was gonna put another game on Switch it would probably be Fallout 4, which would still be good as well, but DOOM and Wolfenstein II are a nice surprise.

I wonder when Wolfenstein II actually started development on the Switch, since it's releasing in October for PS4/XB1/PC but 2018 for the Switch so maybe that was a decision to put that game on Switch that only came about recently? Still great news none the less and is a good get for the Switch.

If Switch continues to sell really well and these third party games sell well on it then there will probably be plenty more being announced for it in 2018 from the publishers and developers that are still having a 'wait and see' approach on the Switch before supporting it.

Rage 2, Switch Exclusive.

I'm a console gamer, so I can play them pretty easily myself. I have to adjust to K+M personally.
