Speaking of horror making a comeback, have you seen It Follows? One of the best horror movies I've seen.

The trailers look good. I'll watch it the next time I rent something.

Go for it. Let me know what you think.

What I like about the movies/book is the small detail that IT will come back every 27 years. The last movie was in 1990. I am just going to wait for the 2044 version.

Don't Breathe was another really good one imo. Gotta watch it follows when I have the chance. I miss slasher films though. Well the good ones.

While "Don't Breathe"  was one of the best movies of the year last year (not just the best in its genre) it was not a horror film. Don't Breahte was a Suspense/Thriller/Crime movie. Although Suspense/Thriller are closely related to Horror.

And yes, this matters SO much!!

It really makes me wish that box office success was determined by ticket sales rather than gross, as inflation makes it impossible to compare between different eras.

Well, you could just find the production costs for bth compared to its gross.   Regardless of inflation, just do gross divided by production cost and the biggest number is the most successful movie period.

Which sounds much more demanding and tasking than having ticket sales in the first place would have been.

I bet it has to do with there isn't shit else in the theaters right now. I'm sure it isn't terrible though.

I will watch it next weekend because a friend requested, but I honestly cant see it being good or even scary. I mean, it's a movie about a clown and the trailer was hilarious, especially when it screams. xD

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I never pay attention to sales that aren't adjusted for inflation. Critical thinking FTW.

It won't even come close to the success of The Exorcist if we consider inflation (almost at 1 billion at domestic alone) but it will be one of the most successful horror movies of all time.

Good to know. Hoping to go see it soon.
