Amazon U.S. September bestsellers and general Amazon-based discussion

Forums - Sales Discussion - Amazon U.S. September bestsellers and general Amazon-based discussion

Sorry for being late with the thread. I completely forgot. Anywho, it's September, which is always a month with a lot of potential. Destiny 2 is going to be the big hitter, but we'll see if interest in the series has remained strong over the past three years. We also have Metroid: Samus Returns, Knack II, MvC Infinite, Pokken Tournament DX, and Project Cars 2 filling out the new release ranks. Finally, there's the SNES Classic Edition, which ought to be huge assuming anyone can actually find one that isn't being scalped.

Note: Monthly & weekly rankings are on a one-day delay from the current calendar date. They are usually updated daily on Amazon, usually sometime in the early to mid afternoon. Also, NPD's months are not perfectly matched to Amazon's months. Some items in these rankings may be marked with a typographical symbol:

* Indicates item available for pre-order for release in a later month. Does not count towards current month's NPD numbers.
† Indicates item currently being sold primarily or exclusively through third-party sellers due to limited stock. Most or all sales don't count towards NPD numbers.
‡ Indicates used/pre-owned hardware. Does not count towards NPD numbers.

This month should be interesting. None of the major players have big hitters. Nintendo has some minor/mid level stuff. But Nintendo's holiday push starts in October rather than early November so they may hold some stock back in the second half of September while PS4 will not. But if Nintendo's plan stays the same as it has, they will likely send out an upped shipment with Pokken. This could go either way. Should also be interesting to see how 3DS does.

Oh Destiny is launching in September?  Missed that one.  Will be interesting to track.  Both Watchdogs 2 and Titanfall felt the sting of their predecessor's disappointments, will be interesting to see if this will be the same.  Fifa should be big though.

In my defense, I meant exclusives however :P

Fifa is already dominating in Germany but that is expected. We sure do love our football/soccer.
