I don't think there are any significant graphical changes between versions? So we can take it that the PS4 reviews are just as valid for the rest?

Yeah, I think all versions are identical to each other, as far as Im aware.

Welp, I'll buy it. I think if it sells well enough Sega will finally brighten up. Plus these are alot cheaper to develop.
I'll get this, the Genesis and Advance Sonic games were great and this feels in line with those.
