That's sad news in and of itself, but even sadder is that I predict that Stan Lee himself will pass within a year, probably 6 months =/ That's usually what happens when half of an old couple dies; the second half soon follow - and that's even truer for men than it is for women

Yep exactly what I was thinking. Usually when a couple has been together that long one goes soon after the other. 

Really made me sad his cameo line in Guardians 2, when the watchers are walking away from him and he said "but I've got so many more stories to tell" almost bought a tear to my eye.

Sad news. Still, that's a long life. He was blessed. And we were blessed. Be strong, Stan.

I can't imagine what it would be like to be parted from someone you spent seven decades with. They were certainly blessed to have so much time with one another, but Stan must be in a really difficult place right now mentally. I honestly doubt I'd want to continue living if I was him.

70 years and she's gone. I'm worried he'll die not too long after her death
