About what I expected; this is actually quite a demanding game, it's 30fps and can drop to 720p on PS4, so the Switch port was always going to require significant trimmings. I'm okay with this, I'm played and enjoyed much worse looking games.

VGChartz does indeed show very low numbers for GP Legend, but it also shows 650k for GX.

If Starfox Zero is any indication Miyamoto should be kept far, far away from F-Zero. The guy is past his prime and has become a liability.

But doesn't he still work on mainline Mario games?

Apparently not in any real active role, just as supervising type deal.

A downgrade is to be expected. Look at The Witcher 3. As long as it doesn't experience frame drops, that is what matters. I enjoyed it and I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, as I've never played a Fallout game before. Yes, I know it isn't Fallout, but is very similar in style.

Also, hello fellow Nintendo fans. This is my first post in this thread.

Hey Trunks, welcome!

Yeah Witcher 3 is a good example; also a demanding AAA PS4/Xbone game, and while it took a noticeable hit in being reworked for Switch, I still found it immensely enjoyable and never found that the cutbacks ruined the experience.

I'm sure the same will be true of Outer Worlds. Virtuos have a good track record as far as Switch ports go, I trust them to deliver a worthwhile conversion.

I personally have no need to rebuy Outer Worlds or Witcher 3 on Switch, but there is clearly enough demand for them on Switch. Whether, people who already own them, but want to play them on the go, or people who haven't owned a platform they are on.

Yeah, for me personally it's cos Switch is my only current gen system, but for others I can see portability being the selling point.

I for one will be supporting it day 1, as beyond looking like a really good game, I want to see more current gen ports to Switch.

I really enjoyed Outer Worlds. My only issue was the game length. I beat it in ~30 hours and that is with doing a lot of the side quests.

that's the thing that appeals to me the most lol there are so many games I'm interested in but just don't have it in me to play 50-100 hours for main story+some extras.

20-30 hours for main+extras is the sweet spot for me when it comes to RPG/open world games.

Yeah, 30 hours is good for me too, much longer and I think I might start to get a bit sick of it. Not many games can keep me engaged for 50+ hours any more. Even some really good ones like Xenoblade 2 I needed to take long breaks from.

I think 30 hours or so for the main game is the sweet spot.  I tend not to bother with extras unless I really like a game, so 20-30 hours with extras would be too short for me for rpgs.

Man I'm pumped for the Outer Worlds. Looks like just the kind of rich, meaty experience I haven't played in ages. Plus it's always nice to support these kind of ambitious current gen ports so we get more of them.

Also, now that I'm finally back in civilization I've downloaded the 1.3 update to Panzer Dragoon Remake and looking forward to playing through it a second time tonight in 60fps mode with gyro controls.

Very bold claim.
