Awesome! I have an original 3DSxl. Unfortunately, I don't use it much. I'd like to get a New 3DSxl, but I can't really justify the money, considering how little I've used the original. There hasn't been a Mario Bros game in a few years, and I don't really care for handheld Zelda anymore. So, nothing has really pulled me to play. I hope it gets one more Mario before they retire it, though I'm not holding my breath.

One question that may sound stupid
Being in a EU country importing games from the UK is fine right? Only games from outside Europe wouldn't work, correct?

I may have explained this a few times already, but growing up in Australia in the 1980s usually meant growing up without Nintendo. The NES was here, and people bought it, but it was never the sensation it was elsewhere. Most kids/adults played on computers or Sega machines.

Not to presume too much of your interests, but I would give the Stella Glow demo a shot. I personally enjoy the gameplay, and has a great cast of characters.

Past that, I'm sure the others in this thread will give you some great suggestions, but anything with Fire Emblem or SMT in the title is at least worth giving a shot.

^ Yeah get those.  I'm gonna recommend Bravely Default, and Etrian Odyssey IV. Also if the original River City Ransom is on the e-shop get it. Best 2D beat em up ever!
