Yeah people are upset because xbox one x be pimpin yo.

This one was relatively expected given the Pro version of the original was one of its best performers (often hit a native 4k, and never dropped below 1700p), but it's nice to have confirmation. It'll be interesting to see if the Scorpio gets any other visual upgrades.

Or because of Microsoft's shady marketing and mocking competition despite being anti console-war

Or maybe because Microsoft is a successful company. Success breed jealously. Anyhow can't wait to test this bad boy on my 4k t.v.

Probably. Some basic things like no/less res drops. More stable fps and such.

This and we must remember Microsoft has marketing rights with monolith. It's alarming as it is that the game console was noted as true 4K and now we're hearing IGN checkerboarding methods being implented straight out of e3.

I'd say a perfect 4k lock is fairly likley for SoW, or at minimum rare drops that aren't actually noticeable (so same thing really). Hopefully all versions can avoid frame-rate drops though :p

What I am impressed with is not that it is running in native 4K but the dev saying its crazy powerful. That is what I want to hear from devs.

People under estimate how much these devs want powerful hardware that allows them to freely create with out having to cut corners.

To be fair to MS, the "true 4k" narrative was 90% driven by fans. It is a phrase MS have used, but they've only ever explicitly promised native 4k for their own games and they appear to be delivering on that. I think the Scorpio will hit a native 4k at a comparably frequency to the PS4 with 1080p, and i don't remember anyone mocking the PS4 for not  being a "true" 1080p system.
