They better not ask full price for this.

In light of the pricing of games like Street Fighter and Bomberman on Switch, I would not be surprised if this is full price. I hope it isn't though. I suspect a $60 price tag would significantly hamper its sales, given the game's age.

Is not the vanilla build of skyrim, it's the special edition.

i played the ps3 version and this looks no different. i thought it would be the remastered version. i can get the remastered version on the ps4 for $40 so hopefully this will not cost more than that at launch

For those who are screaming doom, it's the full special edition based on the description

'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch includes all-new gameplay features like motion controls for combat and lockpicking, outfits and gear from The Legend of Zelda. Take down enemies with the Master Sword, protect yourself with the Hylian Shield or look heroic in the Champion’s Tunic. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch also includes all official add-ons: Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn."

I knew it was the Special Edition the moment the footage started.  That's the new rendering and lighting solution as well as the updated grass solution.  I would recognize that upgrade anywhere, I played and modded Skyrim for years and have stared at the vanilla build for over a 1000 hours all told.

odd music choice.

It's not the vanilla last gen version, I can tell you that now.   Looking at the trailer several times now, I don't think it has all the features of the Special Edition, but it's definitely derived from that version, not the PS360 one.

it's not the vanilla version, i'm sure of it, i played it for some many hours that i can recognize it miles away, it's the special edition with a few downgrades.

Awesome! This is one of the few games I always wanted but couldn't. (Ok I could get it on Steam but I rather have it on a tv and this is portable!)

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

I never expected Skyrim to include Amiibo support. This is quite interesting indeed. Motion controls were also unexpected, judging by the trailer they seem like they are implemented well.

maybe the bow and arrow part but the attacking and blocking looked really archaic. Even th bow and arrow, it doesnt look like 1:1 motion controls and rather just an acitvation of a button, which he is pressing anyways.

I need to see someone play this at E3 before I am convinced that the motion controls are well impemented... they dont look so to me atm

That's a fair assessment. I can't imagine using the motion controls for hand to hand combat in Skyrim being that great due to the simplistic nature of its combat to begin with. I suppose I was more excited by the bow and arrow motion controls more than anything, and my mind hyped me up for moton controlled spell-casting haha.
