Wait, what?  XBox Live had 40 million paying subscribers in 2012.  I don't know what it is currently, but you said highest subscribers ever which is not even close to true.

I can see them hitting 40m by the end of the gen.  That's will be 2-2.5BN in annual revenue from PS plus alone.  Insanity.

PS Plus has become an indie heaven... I wish we can do online gaming for free or for a lower fee.

When ps plus launched it was closer to the end of the gen and there were plenty of older AAA games to choose from.  As ps plus gets older it will start getting more AAA titles from earlier in the gen.

At the end of the year, more than 40 million PS+ Gamer. Many Blockbuster and big Online-Games are coming. And the free games are better in august-december 2017 > january-july2017, that is my prediction. i'm sure =)

I hope they use that money well to develop even more fantastic games and maybe increase the quality of PS+ games a bit again - it was insane late in the PS3 era.

PS+ and PS Now will probably at some point be combined and altered in a way to take steps to make it into a "Netflix for games" (MS is already on that way afaik) once they can offer each service for a more mass marketable price.
In my opinion it would be ideal to have the option to install games from the lineup locally if you own the console it's programmed for, while being able to play the others through a gamestream.

Probably will take until 2019 to pass out the 40m mark.  They should beat the 30m mark after this year though.  That's roughly 1.8BN+ annually in cash.  Playstation has never been in a healthier position for Sony.  Our hobby has a bright future my friend :)

That's pretty good. I remember when they were celebrating 5m or so subscribers! Time certainly flies.



Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
