Dont know why people is acting like this is new, they have this every year.

Did Sony have this many hours of coverage at last year's E3? Refresh my memory.

Yeah. I was watching the stream for a little time, so i can remember it.

So like Nintendos Treehouse thing? That's awesome.

Since the Nintendos Treehouse success. I was pretty sure it wouldn't take long for Sony to do the same.

Call me crazy, but didn't sony do this last year too.....

and unless I am eally crazy... has this kinda been the thing for quite a number of e3s back? nintendo just names something that everyone ws already doing... and did away with a live press conference.

"live.playstation.com will be the premier destination for all PlayStation video coming out of E3 2016. That includes our PlayStation E3 2016 Press Conference and our three-day PlayStation LiveCast show featuring live demos, interviews, and demos of more than 60 upcoming PS4 and PlayStation VR titles. There will be LOTS to watch: More than 18 hours of original, live video content, in fact." Steaming at E3--and everywhere else--has been growing for quite awhile. It's not a new phenomenon that sprang up because of one company. I know I've been watching developer interviews and extended game-play videos on Playstation Blog for the last few years.

I know they were atleast doing it in 2014 because I remember seeing the little stage they had set up for it in person and 2014 was the last year I went to E3. That was after Nintendo made their treehouse stuff a thing (iirc) but it isn't a new thing this year by any means.

Yes, they did. Every year they do long coverage of games. Sid Shuman was presenting last year.

The treehouse stuff started in 2014 as well:

In 2014, they started to have livestreams on Nintendo games on top of Nintendo Directs, due to the success of their E3 stream

If anything, the current treehouse seems to have been inspired by Sony Sony did livestreama first.
