Actually we do have confirmation from the highest source. The fact that he told us he did something instead of just calling fake news is proof.

Trump has many confirmed dealings with the Russian mafia and oligarchs, so this statement by Putin only makes him look guiltier.

I think the current POTUS is the only one with political schizophrenia, thank you very much.

Does it have to specifically be "political?"

I'm conflicted on this. He shared information with the Russians about something to do with ISIS right? ISIS is a common enemy, so that seems logical, doesn't it? The only weird part is that we didn't share it with our allies first.

But one of the reasons Trump was elected was so we could have a less hostile relationship with the Russians, as no one in America (and I'm sure Russia), and certainly not the rest of the world wants the two of us to go at it again, and despite his crazy actions, Trump seems to be the best bet at getting along with the Russians more.

Who said that?

I believe that is what I saw the news talking about; that our allies will be upset the Russians found out before them. Then again that was mainstream media so who knows if it is correct?

Yes lets trust someone who killed his own citizens to get into power

Because nothing says mending relationships between US citizens and Russia than a hacking in attempts to help further a far right authoritarian nominee (Trump in this case). /Rolls eyes

Trump... far right? Are you kidding?

The man probably isn't even against gay marriage or abortion (I doubt he will ever fight gay marriage and I believe he only is against abortion due to being elected by conservatives). Also, his view on women, how he thinks he can do whatever he wants with them, and the fact that he has numerous divorce means he doesn't really hold the support of the Christian right.

He is a liberal or centrist at best who just coincidentally got elected on the Republican ticket and occasionally does conservative things. I would say Obama is more left wing than Trump is right wing.

He isn't really authoritarian either, he just says a lot of big talk. Heck, he may even "think" he is authoritarian, but he isn't. The man doesn't hold power of democrats (they hate him) or republicans (they put up with him) and has already been shut down numerous times by the Senate and the judicial branch.

The president does has the right to share any and all information he is privy to because of his position.  The question is that the people who gave the US the intel would like to know who that intel is shared with in case it becomes a conflict of interest.  The fact that certain intel could put agents at risk or certain surveillance is the key issue.  Basically it comes down to ignorance.  The current administration never seek understanding before it does anything and we have seen that Trump is the king when it comes to just doing without thought or understanding.

On your second paragraph, where the heck did you get that opinion.  I do not remember any conservative American choosing Trump so that the US can have a less hostile relationship with Russia.

I'm aware of the first point.

As to the 2nd, I knew a number of people that are conservaties that are sick of bad relations with the Russians, and I've seen a lot in the news/social media. I don't think it is the majority, necessarily, but there are quite a few that want things to calm down with Russia. Obama and Bush didn't get along with Putin at all, and Obama handled him so poorly that Putin ended up stealing some territory away from a NATO ally.

Any check of Trump's political compass proves that this is bull crap. Trump? A centralist? That's the funniest thing I've heard. Almost all American politicians fall in the alt right square on a political compass - including Obama and Clinton. If i knew how to insert pics I would but since I don't a link will have to do. https://www.politicalcompass.org/uselection2016

Oh my. The second option in the poll keeps winning. Is it really how people feel or just trolling?

Ok I more mean a centrist in contemporary American politics, not global or even lifelong American political history. Compared to politics in the past 50 years or so in America, he is a centrist. He is liberal on certain things (multiple wives/divorces, doesn't want to go against gay marriage it looks like, is against outsourcing jobs to other countries because they have cheaper workers) and is conservative in others (big spending on military, anti abortion appointment to the Supreme Court, trying to weaken/eliminate the department of education). Heck, Bill Clinton (when he was President) was more socially conservative than Trump is now (as was Hillary, probably).
