Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Rumour: Scalebound is back in development

I really find the futility of Xbox One lineup more intriguing than anything else about the console itself.

Apart from really good Forza titles, everything first party on Xbox seems to follow this cycle of incredible hype, followed by grief, silence, and then acceptance - even for games that actually came out.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Oh, that's interesting, but I don't know what kind of outcome they could have from doing so, let's wait and see...

Hope it's playground games.

they could reboot the franchise by letting a different dev make their own Scalebound game (which would likely release in 4-5 years) maybe by using/newly interpreting existing artwork/storyboards etc

but I don't see any way to give over the highly complex code of a 80-90% complete japanese AAA game with a bit of a troubled development history (to likely a western dev)

We know that they are keeping the trademark...but I would guess that's the only evidence to support this "rumor"

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Nobody was ever excited for Scalebound. We're only excited for bad M$ news.

Rumours like this are done in bad taste imo. It's not fair to get people's hopes up with rumours like this if it's not true. Bad form by whoever started it. A lot of people dissapointed again.

I was one of the people(I don't think they were minority) who exicited for Scalebound.

And we're more excited for bad Nintendo news than MS's.

I was excited for it too. All I ever saw was negative comments, especially in the YouTube section. Then, after it was cancelled, it was the game everybody would have "Bought an Xbox for but now that it's cancelled" they didn't want one.

So this was Kamiya's pet project that started on Wii. They screw him over then restart development without him would be a major dick move.  No Platinum no buy.
