Looking health is the no. 1 issue. Being sickly thin or unkept overweight doesn't do me any favors. If she's thin because she's physically active, it will show. If she's overweight but also healthy on the inside you'll be able to tell by the way she moves. And regardless of body type, being feminine complements her physically.

I am petite but not short but I am curvy

Well, petite still the best. You can do almost everything with it. I just dont know if it is the same as the normal body index. Don't know

Toned but not overly muscular. Strong jawline helps as well

The type of body that tells me she has at least some control over her life.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Anything goes, but if someone is really muscular, obese or skinny it can look bad. Also I think that visually women tend to suffer less from weight and more from being muscular and with men its the other way.

Maybe the ideal woman would have some curves, not much muscles and the ideal man would be a little bit muscular and thin.

I prefer thin/skinny/petite (what's the difference?).

So anything below average but above the underweight border.

being underweight is just as dangerous as being overweight (unless I'm wrong).

It is, but there are far, far more overweight than underweight people, so cumulatively being overweight is the bigger killer.
