Forums - Sony Discussion - Digital Foundry: [4K] Lets Play Gran Turismo Sport Beta on PS4 Pro!

look those hate comments on the games the is on beta hahaha i have to say only that, for beta the graphics and gameplay is amazing

Horizon Zero Dawn had a lot if similar issues during the preview. It's six months away from launching so it could only improve from here on out. I love th he new engine sounds and rhe dynamic lighting in the cockpit. Hopefully it still supports the Thrustmaster GT500RS

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Looks kinda bland and boring. I feel like DriveClub is still miles ahead of GT Sport

That's the cost of targetting 60fps, DriveClub is still the best looking Racer this-gen.

I played the GT: Sport beta, it looked fine, nothing to write home about, but on a vanilla ps4 what I did play was rock-solid 60fps. Didn't get in the Beta myself so couldn't test it on my Pro, used a friends console.

To be honest, looks very meh. Not sure what PD does with all this time it takes them to make GT games. I could understand if they were radically changing gameplay elements or something, but they aren't. It's GT. And this was Pro footage? I don't get it. I assume this was the same video posted on GAF. Even they are shocked at how bad it looks. That's telling.

Strange! DF were very positive about the game and we know how nitpicky they can be.

Sim racer dropping frame rate is poor development. Avoid this on Pro if your looking for a true sim experience. Standard PS4 will do.

Ooorrrr run it in 1080P mode on the Pro, or wait for final code to make judgments.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I remember being disgusted by the Good of War 3 demo and loving the final product. Maybe this game will have the same leap in quality.

I haven't played GT since GT3 A Spec so it doesn't really effect me. I just like watching 4K video footage on YouTube.

Not the video I watched. Basically boils down to the same issues GT has had for generations now. Cars = great. Everything else = meh.

Personally I would gladly sacrifice some detail in the cockpit view for a new physics engine and improved AI/sound.

Drive club is just an amazing looking game, GTS/Forza all look very sterile compaired to DC that looks like friggin film.

And love how DC feels fast as F also, hard to tell with a youtube video I'll have to wait to make a real comparison to DC

My brother plays FH2 A LOT, and it looks fantastically vibrant.

Am I crazy or do the graphics look kind of meh? I hope for the GT fans sakes that it only looks like this in the beta, that some graphical upgrades are planned in the final release. These beta graphics are a far cry from the bullshot gifs that Polyphony released:

Those are not bullshot but replay footage
