It is dumb but even games microsoft has got for marketing this gen has still ended up selling better on PS4 for the most part. Which is kinda funny in a way.

Kind of expected when Sony has sold over twice the hardware though.

I was referring to their plan of making app-like aplications for W10. How was that called?

Universal Windows Platform?

"Major unannounced AAA"

Anyways big whoop.

Everyone of the big 3 probably has... this isnt news.

Probably news because it's Microsoft. They don't have anything that really "excites" on the Horizon.

And there won't be 4 other games for MS to push?

I think the whole exclusive advertising thing is kinda dumb, but its good for bundles.

Nothing funny really, PS4 has a bigger userbase and the bundling isn't that massive given MS will do multiple bundles at once.

It is weird when you think of it like that, they get a deal for marketing rights, and they sell less copies.

I sincerely hope it's not a shooter, unless it's Perfect Dark II...

I would put my money on Assassin's Creed, or maybe the next Elder Scrolls...though obviously that wouldn't release this year. So yeah, probably Assassin's Creed, and probably Need for Speed. I mean, what else is realistically going to release anytime soon?

EDIT: Yeah, or Far Cry 5, as Radek just wrote.

Smaller exhibition space than ever, no Halo 6 and now marketing for an unanounced 3rd party AAA that comes to every other platform? Man, Microsoft really knows how to entice the crowd.

Hunting Season is done...

Would be strange if they didn't.

Who really cares though? If they want to pay for the marketing of a game that was going to release on their console anyway, and is probably a sequel to a game that has already released on PS4/One so the fanbase for it likely already has one console or the other... well that's just them wasting money.

Now when they have a major AAA unannounced exclusive... I'll be interested!

By that logic Sony is also wasting even more money on their marketing rights, but anyway neither MS or Sony are wasting their money.

Yeah, I can't get excited over this. Microsoft threw some money at a publisher so it can secure exclusive marketing rights? Who cares?

This is exactly the kind of stuff Xbox management says it wants to move away from and yet it keeps doing it. Buying timed exclusivity and marketing rights is just a band-aid for a serious problem. It's time for Microsoft to address the cause and not the symptom.

I don't mean to get so hot over a rumor, but I desperately need some signal from Xbox that they want me as a customer.

What are you talking about? Heard of Quantum Break? Sunset Overdrive? Crackdown 3? Sea of Thieves? They are making their own games already.

Will this one get cancelled too?

How can MS possibly cancel a game that doesn't even belong to them? Terrible joke.

I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being Assassin's Creed, but considering he mentioned E3 I think it could end up being whatever Bethesda are gonna be revealing too.

Hopefully MS gets advertising rights for the other Bethesda games in the future as well

Probably is this year's AC. Still nothing compared to the 4 that Sony has.

I think bundles is a good reason for advertising rights.

I really hope for Elder Scrolls VI, we are past due a new release.

I could see MS getting advertising rights for this.

They have said not to expect it anytime soon. It's gonna take at least another 1.5 to 2 years. They got lots of projects going on atm.

If I recall Bethesda is working on 3/4 new IP's.

Battlefield Bad Company 3 would be an awesome announcement with of course MS advertisement.

Umm all of those 3rd party AAA games that Sony has are going to X1 as well.

Proud to be a Californian.

Why cant the have marketing on their own exclusives. They could've already harmed the overall sales of Tomb Raider as it is. Microsoft needs a major exclusive because if they do not gain at least one major IP this gen, one would say they survived purely by third party.
